OVERVIEW

How much do you know about gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and its diagnosis and treatment? In this engaging, interactive symposium, participants will get to test their knowledge about GERD against their peers in a fun quiz show format. Participants will also learn about new and emerging options for the management of GERD, mechanisms of action of novel therapies, clinical guidelines, and practical issues, such as when to refer to specialty care when seeing patients with difficult-to-treat GERD that does not respond to conventional therapies. [bold]AAPA 2024 conference registration is required for in-person attendees.[/bold]

This activity is intended for physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and other advanced practice providers in gastroenterology and primary care.

GOAL STATEMENT

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to identify patients who would benefit from new treatments for GERD and incorporate this into management strategies.
