Training sessions are approved for POST certification

The California Force Instructors Association (CALFIA) Symposium will be held from August 14-16, 2024 on the Santa Ana College, 1530 W 17th Street, Santa Ana, CA 92706(click the address for a map)

This important educational and networking event is open to CALFIA members. In addition, the Conference invites pre-approved companies and organizations to sponsor and exhibit. The Conference draws an expected 250-300 attendees. Attendees range from the highest law enforcement executive to first responder, including chiefs, assistant/deputy chiefs, supervisors, force instructors, internal affairs investigators and officers).

The Conference provides a wealth of specialized training, education and social networking opportunities:

  • 10 hours of POST certified training, demonstration and education
  • Networking with colleagues and law enforcement associates
  • Engage in training for modern day policing
  • Participation in social events
  • Meals are included - breakfasts (3) and lunch (1)

CALFIA was formed to develop balanced and educated Use of Force Instructors, by providing training and resources and partnering within our regions. 

CALFIA’s mission and vision is that all Use of Force Instructors be competent and accountable to their agency, profession, and the communities they serve. These instructors train front-line law enforcement personnel to provide the level of service we all deserve.

CALFIA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) affirmed organization in the State of California.
