FUNDAMENTALS TRACK

In 2010, as a supplement to on-the-job training for engineers new to the field, WPRC inaugurated a track focused on topics foundational to success in a protection engineering career. The Fundamentals Track of WPRC comprises ten sessions days of lectures on concepts basic to protection and communications used for protection. Designed as training material for both young engineers and technicians, the Fundamentals Track is also an excellent refresher for seasoned protection engineers and practitioners in fields related to protection.

The WPRC Fundamentals Track lectures are taught by seasoned engineers from a variety of equipment manufacturers and utilities joining together to offer training while introducing the students to a balanced range of protection philosophies.

Separate registration is NOT required. These sessions are open to all fully registered attendees.
