OVERVIEW

Aiming High: Optimizing Outcomes in Moderate to Severe Atopic Dermatitis Using Advanced Biologic Therapies, is an interactive case-based educational initiative for clinicians. This live symposium will include 2 patient cases that utilize active collaboration to drive learner engagement and problem solving for the first 60 minutes, followed by a Q&A session. Small groups allow for discussion and exploration of current practice strategies, as well as clinical practice reflection to help learners understand treatment advancements and key considerations for when to switch therapy for patients with moderate to severe atopic dermatitis.

AGENDA

TARGET AUDIENCE

This activity is intended for a global audience of dermatologists, allergists and clinical immunologists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.

GOAL STATEMENT

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to understand the key considerations for treatment advancements and when to move patients with moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (AD) on to effective advanced systemic therapy that can provide improved short- and long-term disease control as well as improved quality of life (QoL).

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this activity, participants will: [LIST] [ITEM] State the burden of disease for patients with inadequately treated moderate to severe AD [ITEM] Identify patients who should receive advanced biologic therapy for AD [ITEM] Select appropriate biologic therapy for example patients, with consideration of long-term disease control, efficacy, and patient QoL [ITEM] Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to formulate a treatment plan by implementing shared decision-making[/LIST]
