Summer Lee 

U.S. Representative  | Pennsylvania’s 12th Congressional District


Congresswoman Summer Lee is a dedicated organizer, attorney, and progressive state legislator. Throughout her time in office, Summer has been a voice for working families, and a champion for sustainable jobs, environmental justice, police accountability, reproductive rights, immigration rights, and gender and racial equity. She is a tireless advocate for workers’ rights, unions, the right to organize, and the fight for a livable wage.


She made history in 2018, becoming the first Black woman from Western Pennsylvania ever elected to the state legislature. In 2022, Summer was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives for Pennsylvania’s 12th District, becoming the first Black woman ever elected to Congress from Western Pennsylvania.

Tom Mitchell

Founders University Professor | Carnegie Mellon University


Tom Mitchell is the Founders University Professor at Carnegie Mellon University where he founded and chaired the world's first Machine Learning Department, and where he served as Interim Dean from 2018-2019. Mitchell advises a variety of government, for-profit and non-profit organizations regarding their AI strategies. He has testified to a number of U.S. congressional committees regarding potential uses and impacts of artificial intelligence, and is currently co-chairing a U.S. National Academies study on AI and the future of work. He recently co-chaired the Task Force on Large Language Models for the Special Competitive Studies Project. 

 

Pat Yongpradit

Chief Academic Officer | Code.org 


Pat Yongpradit is the Chief Academic Officer for Code.org, a non-profit dedicated to promoting computer science education, and lead of TeachAI, a global initiative to guide education leaders in rethinking education in an age of AI. Pat has influenced each stage of the education system, from policy to practice, in the legislature, and the classroom. He was featured in the book, “American Teacher: Heroes in the Classroom,” and has been recognized as a Microsoft Worldwide Innovative Educator. Although Pat spends most of his time in policy conversations, he still finds ways to sneak into the classroom :)
