TRAVEL DETAILS
Booking Flights
You are responsible for making your own airline reservations.
When making travel arrangements, please plan to arrive on Thursday, June 20 at the Seattle International Airport (SEA).
Book a departing flight from Seattle on Friday, June 28, departing after 11 a.m. to ensure sufficient time to clear customs at port and transportation time.
Ground Transportation
You are responsible for your own transportation to Lotte Hotel upon arriving in Seattle. Transportation from the hotel to the pier for the cruise will be provided on June 21.
Convoy of Hope will make post-cruise transportation arrangements on your behalf according to your submitted registration details. Airport transfers are provided on Friday, June 28 from the pier to the Seattle International Airport (SEA). We strongly recommend that your flight leaving Seattle have a departure time of 11 a.m. or later. You will be responsible for your own airport transfer from the ship if you book a flight departing before 11 a.m. or on a different date. Be advised that it can take up to 90 minutes for the ship to clear customs once it reaches the port.
Documentation
Each guest is required to present a valid passport OR a state-issued ID with an original birth certificate.
Please note: Your Convoy of Hope event registration MUST match your legal documentation.
Guests with citizenship outside of the U.S. may require a visa to travel on the cruise.
Additionally, prior to arriving at the Hope Cruise Alaska event, each member of your group must complete an Assumption of Risk Form.
PACKING TIPS
Suggested Attire
For most of the voyage, the event dress code is resort casual:
Ladies: Casual pants or slacks with blouses, walking shorts, casual dresses or skirts with blouses
Gentlemen: Casual pants, shorts, khakis or jeans, open-collared shirts; jackets and blazers are appropriate but not required
There will be two evening events during which suggested attire is evening chic:
Ladies: Cocktail dress, or elegant shirt or sweater with skirt, pants, or designer jeans
Gentlemen: Long-sleeved shirt, button-down shirt or sweater with pants or designer jeans; sport coats and blazers are optional
Dress comfortably during the daytime for exploring the ports!
Note: T-shirts, swimsuits, robes, bare feet, tank tops, baseball caps, and pool wear are not allowed in restaurants. Shorts and flip-flops are not allowed in evening hours.
A daily newsletter delievered to your stateroom will be your guide to the correct attire each evening.
What to Bring and Not Bring
All stateroom bathrooms are equipped with soap, shampoo, conditioner, and a wall-mounted hair dryer. Staterooms have multiple American and European outlets.
Certain items are not allowed on board for safety reasons, including:
Sharp objects, including knives and scissors
Candles and incense
Coffee makers
Clothes irons and steamers
Hot plates
Heating pads
Torch/novelty lighters
Alcoholic beverages
Electrical extension cords
Personal grooming items such as safety razors, curling irons, and hair straighteners are allowed. Scissors with blades less than four inches are allowed. Matches and normal lighters are allowed.
There is a full laundry and dry-cleaning service onboard for reasonable rates.
Luggage Information
In addition to your larger bag(s), pack a small carry-on with the items you’ll need right away on the first day (i.e. change of clothes for dinner, medication, valuables). Your tagged luggage will be delivered to your stateroom by 8 p.m.
This bag also will be useful for your last night at sea. Cruise staff will collect your luggage the night before you leave the ship, and you can use this carry-on bag for your night clothes and toiletries.
Debarkation instructions, luggage tags, and baggage claim checks will be provided to you by the ship. Place your tagged bags outside your stateroom door by 11 p.m. on our last evening and Celebrity will do the rest. Your luggage will be removed from the ship and placed in the holding area for you to retrieve before clearing customs and exiting the terminal.
Port Valet Service
A port valet service is available for guests departing on June 28, which will transfer your luggage from the pier and check in your luggage at the Seattle airport to your final destination on your behalf. Using this service is strongly recommended. You can sign up ahead of time or use the enrollment form in your stateroom.
CELEBRITY CRUISES APP
You are encouraged to download the free Celebrity Cruises app from the App Store or Google Play prior to your sail day. This will save you time at the terminal for check-in as well as maximize your onboard experience.
The Celebrity Cruises app allows you to:
- Check-in faster by scanning your passport and choosing an arrival time
- View important safety information
- Chat and connect with friends and family on the ship
- Maintain a personal in-app calendar and explore the daily activities
- Reserve your place at world-class dining experiences
- Book exhilirating shore excursions
- Track your onboard spending
- Enjoy stateroom automation and control your TV, lighting, temperature, and window shades from your phone
CRUISE CHECK-IN & BOARDING PROCESS
Cruise Check-in
Each guest is required to check-in for the cruise at least 10 days prior to departure. Check-in through the Celebrity Cruises app or website.
Boarding the Ship
Each guest will receive a signed Xpress Pass upon checking in for the cruise. This will be required to board the ship at each port. Prior to entering the cruise terminal, be prepared to present these required documents:
- Xpress Pass
- Credit or debit card
- Passport
- Photo ID
Security and immigration procedures are in place at the pier prior to boarding the ship for your safety. All attempts will be made to expedite the process, but delays are possible.
Once you complete the check-in and validation process, you will be given your SeaPass card. This will serve as your identification to get on/off the ship at each port, your stateroom key, and your onboard expense card. Keep your required documents with you at all times.
For security reasons, no visitors are allowed in the cruise terminal.

What's Included
The cruise is complimentary for you and one guest, and includes:
- One-night accommodation for two at the Lotte Hotel Seattle on June 20
- Ground transportation from the hotel to the pier on June 21
- Cruise fare for two in a balcony stateroom on the Celebrity Edge
- Gratuities, port charges, and taxes
- $300 onboard credit per stateroom
- Ground transportation on June 28 from the pier to the Seattle International Airport (SEA), provided departing flight is 11 a.m. or later
Your Costs
You are responsible for any additional costs, which may include:
- Airfare reservations
- $100 nonrefundable cabin fee, paid at time of registration
- Any additional pre-cruise hotel nights, which may be booked at our group rate based on availability
- Onboard expenditures (i.e. excursions, spa treatments, specialty dining, etc.)
- Pre-cruise ground transportation from airport to hotel
- Post-cruise ground transportation to airport if your flight is departing before 11 a.m. on June 28 or on different day

When and where is the Convoy of Hope event check-in?
When you arrive on June 20 at the Lotte Hotel Seattle, please visit our Welcome Desk, located in the Private Dining Suite 3 from 1-8 p.m. Please check-in with us to pick up your welcome packet and make sure any final questions are answered.
Will Convoy of Hope provide ground transportation?
Convoy of Hope will provide transportation from the hotel to the pier on June 21 for all guests. Post-cruise airport transfers are provided for guests who depart on June 28 from the Seattle International Airport (SEA), if the flight leaves at 11 a.m. or later. Guests are responsible for their own pre-cruise airport transfer to Lotte Hotel Seattle. For more information, please refer to the Travel Details section of this page.
What do I need to pack for the cruise? Is there a dress code?
For most of the event, the dress code is resort casual but there will be two nights with suggested attire of evening chic. For more information, please visit the Packing Tips section of this page.
What dining options are available on the cruise?
Our entire group will be dining during main seating in the evenings. All food is complimentary when dining in the main dining room, with the exception of alcohol and soft drinks. Room service also is free, but gratuities are customary.
We will have assigned seating for our group on two evenings. On the other nights, enjoy the flexibility to sit with guests from our group, enjoy a specialty restaurant, or dine in the ports. Please note that specialty restaurants or port dining is at your expense.
How can I book excursions?
You're encouraged to book excursions for our port visits in advance. Excursions can be booked through the Celebrity Cruises app. Be sure to check our itinerary when booking excursions. Our group gatherings will be held during At Sea days and will not interfere with any offered excursions or port times.
Will internet and cell service be available on the ship?
Internet access packages are available throughout the cruise until debarkation. Refer to the Celebrity Cruises website for details and wifi package options.
Cellular service is available once the ship enters international waters. You will be billed at international roaming rates while at sea. Please remember to TURN OFF data roaming on your cell phones while we are at sea to avoid extra charges from your phone carrier. Your carrier will not provide service while we are sailing, but cellular at sea roaming charges will automatically accrue on your phone bill unless data roaming is turned off. You should have service while we are docked, but if you must use your phone at sea, please contact your carrier for temporary plans.
How can friends and family contact me in case of emergency?
Friends and family can contact the ship by calling (877) 266-1020. The cost is $7.95 USD per minute. This can be charged to their Mastercard or Visa. Calls from outside the U.S. may incur additional long-distance charges.
