A Day with Ofsted 2024

Overview

With Ofsted well underway with their plans to inspect every further education institution by summer 2025, there has never been a more important time to understand how Ofsted looks at things, its latest thinking, and where its concerns lie.

That’s why our ‘A Day with Ofsted’ event is designed to support you in your organisation’s bid to navigate the inspection process. As with previous years, this year’s ‘A Day with Ofsted’ includes an overview of the Chief Inspector's Annual Report delivered by Paul Joyce, HMI, Deputy Director for Further Education and Skills, followed by a range of informative sessions from respected and recognisable specialist advisors.

Intelligent insights. Streamlined compliance. Exceptional outcomes

Bud is a training management platform, designed to streamline the processes involved in delivering apprenticeships and skills training. Built around workflows that require key items of data to be captured only once, Bud’s customers benefit from reduced administrative time and improved data accuracy.

Throughout the learning journey the platform automatically captures data from every learner every day and stores it securely, creating a single source of truth. Via its powerful dashboards Bud's customers gain a unique overview of their business' health and early visibility of potential issues, meaning decisions to intervene can be taken early.

Paul Workman, Managing Director at Riverside Training said:

I knew it was going to improve our delivery, but I didn’t recognise the extent to which using systems that weren’t fit for purpose were impacting our operations. I never imagined the kind of ROI that we have realised.”

Comments from A Day with Ofsted last year include:

'I thoroughly enjoyed the day and have taken away so much. The workshops were a great opportunity to learn more about inspections and generated ideas on how to present the evidence.'

'Brilliant day. Highly valuable. Another warm and welcoming AELP event.'

'Thank you for the opportunity provided to network and mingle with other providers. I found it very useful listening to others' views along with Ofsted offering advice on what they are looking for.'

'The event was extremally helpful and beneficial for us as a new prime provider. Thoroughly enjoyed it thank you.'

'It was good to hear information from the Ofsted officers and by able to ask questions in groups and also be able to take in questions other people had that may not have been on the top of our list.'

'I am relatively new to working with OFSTED and new to the inspection process. Therefore, I found the event really informative and insightful. There was a lot to think about and take forward.'
