It is the policy of the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation that all participants, including attendees, exhibitors, vendors, NBDF staff, volunteers, and all other stakeholders at NBDF meetings both in-person and virtually will conduct themselves in a professional manner that is welcoming to all participants and free from any form of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation.
Participants will treat each other with respect and consideration to create a collegial, respectful, inclusive, and professional environment at NBDF Conferences both in person and virtually. Creating a supportive environment to enable scientific discourse at NBDF meetings is the responsibility of all participants.
We also expect participants to follow NBDF's conference behavior on online and social media networks.
NBDF will not tolerate any form of illegal discrimination or harassment on the basis of an individual's race (including, but not limited to, hair texture and protective hairstyles such as braids, locks, and twists), color, religion, religious creed (including religious dress and grooming practices), national origin, ancestry, citizenship, physical or mental disability, medical condition (including cancer and genetic characteristics), genetic information, marital status, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, or related medical conditions), gender (including gender identity and gender expression), actual or perceived age (40 and older), sexual orientation, veteran and/or military status (including status as a uniformed servicemember, a veteran, or dependent of a servicemember, or unfavorable discharge from military service), domestic violence victim status, political affiliation, work authorization status, or any other status protected by federal, state, or local laws.
Harassing conduct includes, but is not limited to: unlawful harassment, derogatory comments, epithets, slurs, or negative stereotyping; threatening, intimidating or hostile acts; denigrating jokes; and written, electronic, or graphic material that denigrates or shows hostility or aversion toward an individual or group and that place online or on-site at BDC 2024.
Any instances of harassment, discrimination, not following NBDF's infectious disease guidelines, or inappropriate behavior at the NBDF sponsored event should be reported immediately to the following NBDF employees:

Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior
Upon receiving a report of unacceptable behavior, NBDF’s priority will be the safety and security of participants. Sanctions for violating this Code of Conduct may range from verbal warning, being denied access to the remainder of the meeting, to notifying appropriate authorities. Retaliation for complaints of inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated.
The following Agreements and Disclaimers are offered by and pertain to NBDF’s BDC provided by the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation and to the Conference speakers, presenters, sponsors, exhibitors, and volunteers (collectively referred to herein as the “NBDF”), and the person intending to attend and participate in the Conference. YOU AGREE NOT TO TAKE ACTION AGAINST, OR SEEK TO HOLD, OR HOLD LIABLE, NBDF FOR THE USER’S USE OF THE INFORMATION PROVIDED.
