Air Travel

Please refer to the information below when planning your air travel.

We recommend that you fly into Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) on Saturday, January 6 to arrive prior to 3:00pm and depart any time on Tuesday, January 9.

On behalf of Pernod Ricard USA, we will be booking round-trip travel for you and your guest. Upon completing the registration form, you will be contacted directly from our air team via email to confirm your flight itinerary. Economy coach-class air transportation will be provided for you. If you wish to upgrade your ticket, you may do so at your own additional expense.  

Children are permitted to attend, but all travel costs for them are the individual's personal expense.

Arrival: Saturday, January 6 - hotel check-in is 3:00 PM
Departure: Tuesday, January 9 - hotel checkout is 12:00 PM

Airport Transfers

We will be providing private, round-trip transportation to/from Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ). The airport is approximately 30-minutes away from the resort.

The specific details for arrival and departure transportation will be provided in your pre-travel confirmation, which you will receive approximately one week prior to your departure.

Passports

Passports are required for any United States citizen traveling to the Dominican Republic. The name on your passport must match the name on your airline ticket exactly. Your passport is required to be valid for at least six months beyond the date of your trip. Passport expiration must be July 2024 or later.

Entry into Dominican Republic

Every person arriving and departing the Dominican Republic must complete an e-ticket. It is a digital form required by multiple government institutions in the DR. This form must be completed at least 24 hours in advance of your departure from the US. The QR code must be printed or digitally displayed on your phone upon arrival AND prior to departure – there will be two separate QR codes - one for arrival, one for departure.  Click HERE to complete the E-ticket.

Evening Dinners

• Welcome Dinner (Saturday): resort casual - dinner will be held outside on the Toro Beach
• White Hot Champions Awards Dinner (Sunday): WEAR YOUR WHITE - let's keep it light in the heat of the white-hot awards party - see the style guide below 
  Recommendations:
  Ladies - sundress, cocktail dress or blouse & trousers
  Gentlemen - collared shirt - polo or button-down, with long pants (jacket not required)
• College Football Playoff National Championship & Dinner (Monday): show your spirit and wear you favorite team's colors

Activities

When packing, you may want to include any of the following items along with sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat/visor.

• Beach/Non-Motorized Sports: Pack your swimsuit and cover-up. Footwear essentials include flip-flops, sandals and/or athletic shoes
• Golf: Appropriate resort golf attire is required. Golf shirts, Bermuda-length shorts, or lightweight slacks (modest length skirts for the ladies) and soft-spike golf shoes or sneakers. Note: cutoffs, t-shirts, tank tops, abbreviated shorts, denim, fitness wear, swimwear, and metal-spike shoes are not allowed on course
• PowerCat Snorkel & Natural Pool Trip/Sports Fishing: swimsuit, cover-up, shorts, tank top and non-slip shoes
• Spa/Fitness: comfortable casual attire, athletic shoes
• Adventure Boogies ATV Tour: wear comfortable casual clothes - you will get DIRTY! Wear a swimsuit under clothes for cenote swimming, sunglasses, and comfortable walking shoes

NOTE: Beach towels are provided on-property for all water based activities

Weather

In Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, average temperatures in January range from 82°F during the day and evening lows around 72°F.

Travel Tips

Medical Information

We cannot give any medical advice; however, it is always a good idea to consult with your physician when you plan to travel. Plan ahead and make sure you have an adequate supply of any prescription medication prior to departure.  If you have any questions regarding your medication, please consult your physician.  You should carry all medications in their original container and always carry essential medications in your carry-on bag.

Valuables

Safeguard your valuables. It is best to leave expensive items at home and use the resort's in-room safe for your important travel documents, personal electronics, and other valuables. Keep purses, wallets, money, and phones close to you, especially in crowded public areas.

Time Zone

Punta Cana is in the Atlantic Time Zone.

Currency

The local currency in the Dominican Republic is the Dominican Peso. If you venture off-property, most vendors accept US dollars and credit cards, but please note that you may receive change in the local currency. ATMs are available at the hotel and casino, but only dispense Dominican Pesos.

Electrical Power

Electrical power in the hotel is 110 volt – same as the US. Hair dryers are provided in all hotel rooms.

Gratuities

Your all-inclusive accommodations include most standard gratuities for the hotel staff. However, while tipping is a discretionary and optional gesture at many resorts, it is certainly welcomed and appreciated by the resort staff. Keep in mind that you don't need to tip at every interaction - usually those you'll tip are staff providing a personal service, like waiters, bartenders, housekeeping attendants, and pool/beach attendants. In addition, as part of your program, Pernod Ricard USA has prepaid the gratuities for transportation providers, tour guides, and other travel staff.
