Richard Moore, Richard Moore Solutions, FE and Skills Consultant for Post-16 Providers
Richard started his own further education and skills consultancy company in November 2015, specialising in supporting post-16 providers such as colleges and work-based learning companies to improve the quality of their provision for their learners and students.
Prior to that he worked as Her Majesty's Inspector (HMI) with Ofsted with particular expertise in inspecting and supporting colleges, training providers and employer providers to improve. He has 12 years inspection experience as a full-time inspector. Richard's subject specialism was hospitality and catering management.
Richard initially started his career managing in luxury hotels such as the Savoy, Claridges, The Connaught, Gleneagles and Turnberry for 12 years after graduating from Surrey University with a degree in hotel management. Following his hotel career, he spent 10 years in further education, starting as a lecturer before progressing to a number of different senior management positions in ‘good’ and ‘outstanding’ colleges. He sits on the board of the ‘outstanding’ Chichester College Group where he chairs the curriculum and quality committee and is also on the boards of a number of other training and employer providers.
