Rumblings from Retirement

Join us and listen to David Baker discussing essential safety and health issues learned over a 35-year career as a Certified Safety Specialist and Safety Management Specialist. The keynote will focus on lessons learned.

About David J. Baker

David J. Baker served as a federal agent with Occupational Safety Health Administration for 31 years as a Compliance Officer, Regional Voluntary Protection Program Manager, and Area Director. As the Area Director for the Washington Area Office, David supervised a staff of safety and health professionals in the enforcement of the Occupational Safety and Health Act and provided federal oversight of the Washington State Occupational Safety and Health program. 

Additionally, David served five years as a Combat Safety Officer in the Army Reserve, completing a combat tour in Afghanistan in 2002 and retiring after 30 years of service as a Lieutenant Colonel. David graduated from North Central College with a B.A. in History.
