2020 Farm Credit Annual Meeting

February 2 - 4, 2020  |  Washington, D.C.

Join us in Washington, D.C.!

As we begin a new year and the farm economy continues to face some challenges, Farm Credit’s mission to support rural communities and agriculture remains more important than ever. We invite you to join Farm Credit leaders from across the country in Washington, D.C. as we explore valuable topics and invigorate robust discussions to help you and your institutions prepare for the year to come.

2020 is an election year – and a presidential one at that. What does this mean for agriculture and those in Congress who support Farm Credit? Will the presidential election repeat the roller coaster of 2016? What do the polls say and how do we translate them? Charlie Cook, one of the most well-respected political analysts in the country, will share his insights on what to expect and what surprises lie in wait.

Despite the difficulties of the rural economy, the national economy continues to grow year after year. Carlos Gutierrez, President George W. Bush’s Secretary of Commerce, will share his insights on what we can expect going forward. And Dr. Robert Johansson, the Chief Economist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, will break down the ag economy to help us better understand where commodity prices might go and how trade will impact farmers and ranchers this year.

Ambassador Gregg Doud (invited), the U.S.’s chief agricultural trade negotiator, will add his thoughts on the Trump administration’s trade priorities for the coming year. Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown (invited), the ranking member of the Senate Banking Committee will offer insights into ag and finance policy. The new board chair at the Farm Credit Administration, Glen Smith, will share his vision for the agency. And author Jon Meacham will discuss how America has been shaped not just by our elected leaders and our formal politics but also by our music—by the lyrics, performers and instrumentals that have helped to carry us through the dark days and to celebrate the bright ones.

It’s the must-attend meeting on the Farm Credit calendar – we are even throwing an exciting Super Bowl watch party! We look forward to seeing all of you in Washington, D.C. in February 2020.

As a reminder, there is $250 cancellation fee until December 31, 2019.
There will be no refunds issued after January 1, 2020.
