WHAT IF THE NAME ON MY TICKET DOES NOT MATCH MY IDENTIFICATION?

WHAT ARE NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE'S AGE REQUIREMENTS?

In addition, the cruise line’s policy is that a minor or young adult under the age of 21 must be accompanied in the same stateroom (or a connecting/adjoining stateroom) by a guest 21 years of age or older at the time of boarding. Parents may be split up if more than one cabin is reserved in order to accommodate this requirement.
ONLINE CHECK-IN & EMBARKATION
In order to facilitate the embarkation process and the processing of your eDocs, and to comply with new government regulations governing departure manifest, all guests are STRONGLY recommended to complete Online Check-In. It must be completed no later than 4 days prior to sailing. Guests must also complete check-in at the cruise terminal and be on board the ship no later than one hour prior to the departure time noted on their cruise documents or they will not be permitted to sail.

Joining or debarking the ship at any time outside of the published embark/debark port is not permitted.
HOW DO I PURCHASE AND PAY FOR SERVICES ON BOARD?
For your convenience, all shipboard expenses are charged to your Onboard account. Sign up when you check in, establishing your method of payment with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB Card, or Diner's Club. You may also use your debit card, however please be advised that the cruise line must obtain pre-authorization, as they do for all Credit Cards, and some banks hold these funds for up to 30 days. Cash can also be used as a method of payment to settle your account with an initial deposit paid in advance.
USING YOUR DEBIT OR ATM CARD
Norwegian does not recommend the use of a debit card as payment for your onboard folio. Please be advised that multiple holds will be placed on your debit card account based on your onboard purchases. After settling your onboard folio, these debit card holds may remain on your account up to 30 days after the cruise ends. To avoid overdraft charges from your bank, please make sure that you have enough available funds in your account during this hold period. Norwegian will not be responsible for overdraft charges resulting from holds placed on Debit Card accounts. A cash deposit may be placed on your onboard account in the amount of $150 USD per person. Once you have exceeded the deposited amount, your account will be closed to further charges. You can deposit as much money as often as you'd like throughout the cruise, however, refunds cannot be made until the day of disembarkation for any excess. Personal checks will not be accepted, nor can they be cashed on board.
SPECIALTY DINING
You will have the opportunity to book the two specialty dining reservations during the NCL cruise check in process once you receive your cruise booking number.
IS THERE A DOCTOR ON BOARD?
Each Norwegian Cruise ship has an onboard Medical Center staffed by licensed physicians and critical care nurses. While not a full-service hospital, the Medical Center is well equipped to handle most emergencies and routine medical procedures. A customary fee will be charged for services and medications dispensed (with the exception of medicine for seasickness, Tylenol®, and aspirin, which may also be obtained at the Front Office). Keep medication close at hand in your purse or carry-on bag. Be sure to bring enough prescription medicine to last throughout your cruise, as it may not be available on board or in some of the countries visited.
CAN I MAKE PHONE CALLS TO THE MAINLAND?
Hawaii is within the US and should be covered under your phone plan's domestic calls but be sure to check with your carrier to verify prior to the trip.
You will have a phone in your cabin that you can use to call the mainland, but prices can be as high as $8 per minute, varying by cruise line. As there are no cell towers in the ocean, you will not be able to make cell phone calls while at sea, unless you have a satellite phone or purchased a special cruise-to-land service package from the cruise line or your cell provider.
WHAT SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT DISEMBARKATION?
You will receive detailed instructions for disembarkation a few days prior to the final night of the cruise. You will be asked to have your large pieces of luggage (those you plan to check) packed, locked, and outside your stateroom door sometime late in the evening (typically between 11:00 pm and midnight) on the final night of the cruise. The cabin stewards will collect it through the night, store it in the ship's hold, and then offload it early the next morning. It will be waiting for you to collect in the pier after you disembark. Final onboard accounts will be posted under your stateroom door and must be settled prior to disembarkation. The ship prefers you to settle your account the night before to avoid slowing down the disembarkation process.
As your large suitcases will be collected the night before disembarking the ship, please remember to bring a smaller overnight bag for your toiletries, prescriptions and other 'need-to-have' items.
