Program Description

This online orientation introduces the role and responsibilities of the Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO) within their institution and the Higher Learning Commission, including modules highlighting various responsibilities. The six-week self-paced training provides time to review the videos and materials. Modules include an overview of accreditation and peer review processes, specifics on managing substantive change activities on your campus, expectations of regular and mandatory data reporting to HLC, and staying current using HLC’s website.

The training also features tips from experienced ALOs about how to work successfully with HLC staff and build support for accreditation work on campus. In addition, live Zoom sessions will be offered so participants can ask questions of HLC staff and facilitators.

Closing Discussion with Experienced ALOs: November 14, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. CT

Who Should Attend?

This training program is for new ALOs responsible for coordinating and managing their institution's accreditation process.
