Chapter Leadership Seminar
The Chapter Leadership Seminar (CLS) brings Chapter Executive Directors and Board Members, together with Industry Partners, NYLI, and Staff and Board of Directors, from across the country for three days to participate in a series of training activities.
This annual seminar aims to:
- Improve Chapters' capacity to fundraise
- Provide innovative programs and services
- Grow advocacy impact
- Share non-profit best practices
- Discuss many other topics that improve Chapters' abilities to provide meaningful programs and services to people living with bleeding disorders
This year’s Chapter Leadership Seminar will be a fully in-person event. We will be following the best medical and scientific recommendations set by the Center for Disease Control, including the implementation of a detailed set of safety guidelines and procedures. There may be a select number of sessions that will be recorded and available for viewing on demand.

This year’s CLS will be held in vibrant and picturesque Seattle, Washington at the Sheraton Grand Seattle from Monday, November 13 to Thursday, November 16, 2023.

Vaccination Requirement
Due to the recent CDC guidance update regarding COVID-19, the Foundation will no longer require proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 tests in order to attend the Chapter Leadership Seminar.
Mask Policy for Attendees
Face coverings (masks) are optional. However, the Foundation encourages attendees to wear a mask throughout the seminar if they are, or someone in their home is, immunocompromised or at high risk for severe illness. All attendees should be mindful and respectful of other attendees' health choices. Masks will be provided to those who do not have one.
