Welcome to the AISA Conference

7 - 9 October 2023

The AISA Conference is for educators, leaders, co-professionals, sponsors and exhibitors who share a passion for international education in Africa. The 2023 AISA Conference is a members-only learning event and will take place from 07 - 09 October 2023 at the International School of Kenya (ISK) in Nairobi, Kenya. Pre-conference sessions will also be available from 04 - 06 October 2023 at the ISK and the Trademark Hotel.

2023 AISA Conference Theme: Umoja: Oneness through Community – Connections – Stories

Throughout the conference, international consultants and experts from our international schools will provide opportunities to explore innovations in teaching, learning and leading that are transforming schools and their communities. The objective of the conference is to create an inspiring professional learning event for attendees that celebrates AISA's united and shared sense of community, where we highlight the diverse 'stories' that make our close-knit community what it is.
The professional learning, affinity groups, discovery workshops, exhibition and social events will reinforce the sense of belonging for which AISA conferences are renowned.

AISA schools registering 10 delegates or more will receive a 10% discount on the total group registration cost.

We have designed deep learning experiences in our Pre-Conference Workshops, Deep Dives and Institutes, and opportunities to explore something new in our Discovery Workshops. The Affinity Groups unite those with shared identities and amplify voices. Add the AISA Associate Members' exhibition, endless networking opportunities and the Gala Dinner; this is a conference where everyone belongs.

AISA Conference delegates can still benefit from negotiated accommodation rates at the Tribe and Trademark Hotels. October is "high-season" in Nairobi and hotel availability is limited. Book your room today to secure your stay!

Leveraging Generative AI across K-12

Generative AI in K-12 education is vital and has the potential to revolutionize teaching and learning experiences. In this design sprint, educators will collaboratively explore the transformative power of generative AI across various educational domains.

AISA Service Learning Symposium

In this pre-conference, you will have an opportunity to meet other service learning educators and leaders from the region, participate in hands-on workshops about curriculum, and be part of the launch of our new Service Learning Self-Assessment Tool for Teachers and Schools.

AISA Counsellors Symposium

The AISA 2023 Counsellors PLI will begin by exploring our own positionality and how this impacts how we show up as counsellors and engage with students. By connecting with the multiple parts of self we are free to authentically connect with others - the cornerstone of community building.
