Archery and Tomahawks
Tomahawk throwing competitions date back to the earliest years of American history. Try your hand at one of the oldest sports of our country or grab a bow and arrow and aim for a bullseye. Suggested minimum age is 6 years old. Closed toed shoes are required.

Join us in the pavilion on Saturday for arts and crafts.
Basketball
Test your basketball skills at the basketball court near the Fitness Center.
Batting Cages
1 – 2 – 3 strikes you’re out! Grab a bat and swing for the fences.
Billiards and Darts
Challenge a friend to an old-fashioned game of Billiards or Darts.
Biking and Hiking
Discover what the Hill Country has to offer while biking through the countryside or hiking on one of the many trails surrounding Rough Creek Lodge. A hike to the top of Gunn Mountain provides a spectacular view and make sure you visit the Gunn Mountain Observation Post along the way.
Canoeing
Two-person canoes are a great way to relax, exercise and explore Mallard Lake.
Catch and Release Fishing
Wake up early and get a bass boat or fish from the dock at the fishing shack at Mallard Lake. See if you can break the 11 lb. 4 oz. record!
Children’s Offerings
The playground offers swings, a slide and climbing wall to keep even the smallest guests entertained. Make sure to take a pony ride and hop on the kiddie train!

If you’re 12 years or older, challenge yourself through a series of obstacles high off the ground! Must be able to reach height of 6ft standing flat footed. 250 pound weight limit. Closed toed shoes required.

Challenge your rock-climbing skills on the 40-foot climbing wall and then propel yourself 675 feet toward Mallard Lake on the double Zip Line. Remember your closed toe shoes.
Side-By-Side Mules
Explore the rugged terrain on a 6-passenger Can-Am Mule. Mule drivers must be at least 21 years of age and provide a valid license at activity check-in. Closed toe shoes are required.
Rough Creek Lodge will have firearms and ammunition available for the shooting activities taking place during the weekend, for which people have pre-registered. Since this is a family event and many children will be attending for the weekend, please leave any personal firearms at home and plan to use the Rough Creek Lodge firearms.
5 Stand Shooting
Enjoy a round of Five Stand Clay Shooting with the assistance of professional hunting guides. Children must be 9 years of age to participate.

Horseback Riding
On 11,000 acres, 60-minute tours are guided by experienced wranglers. Children must be 8 years old to participate. Long pants and closed toed shoes required.

Paintball
Enjoy the Paintball recreation field, perfect for team or individual play. Our guides are always on hand to assist in this fun game. Children must be 10 years old to participate.

Kids UTV Track
Test your skills around the UTV track! Children must be 8 years old to drive accompanied by an adult. Children 13 years or older may drive without an adult. Children under 8 may ride with an adult driver. Children must be able to sit upright, on their own in the passenger seat and have their chest belt fastened.
