WELCOME!

48th Annual Irving M. Rasgon, MD Family Medicine Symposium
FUNdamentals of Family Medicine

You are invited to join us for this informative, collegial, and practical symposium, designed with your needs in mind. Don’t miss this excellent opportunity to learn, connect, and refresh!

The 2023 Symposium agenda offers:

  • 13 topics for all attendees to gain practical approaches to address common challenges in day-to-day Family Medicine practice
  • Plenary topics: Obesity, Racism in Medicine (Camila M. Mateo, MD, MPH - Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School), Medical Legal Pearls, and Practical Hot Topics in Family Medicine
  • Livestreamed topics: Lifestyle Medicine, CHF, Derm, Gyn/Pelvic Floor Disorder, Radiology, and Alzheimer’s Dementia
  • The agenda also offers 3 additional workshops for in-person attendees: Point of Care Ultrasound-assisted Joint Injections, CAD Primary Prevention, and Red Flag Clinic EKG Reading

Interactive formats will enhance your learning experience, through case-based polling, facilitated discussions with dynamic expert faculty, and ample time for open Q&A in all livestreamed sessions. In-person workshops will give hands-on practice with techniques and deeper dive into clinical decision-making.

This 1.5 day hybrid live course includes an opportunity to support resident scholarly work during the virtual poster exhibit, and celebrate colleagues recognized as Family Medicine Physicians of the Year. An added bonus this year is Fireside Chat with Chiefs, and our networking opportunities invite you to meet new colleagues, reconnect with friends from other service areas, and return to practice with renewed confidence and inspiration.

An optional ABFM KSA will be available after the symposium, on Saturday afternoon. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet MOC Part 2 requirements in a collegial and fun learning activity.

Thank you and we look forward to enjoying the symposium together with you!
