The 2023 Marco's Convention promises to be a can't miss experience honoring franchisees and team members. We look forward to connecting, learning, and having some fun all while celebrating our success.

This year's theme centers around Rise Together – It is Marco's mission to grow as a business by lifting People up. At Marco's, if we Create, Innovate, Inspire, and Achieve Together, we will Rise Together. 

The convention will take place at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort, part of Universal Orlando. Planned highlights include a Marco's exclusive event at Marvel Super Hero Island and Awards Ceremony with special entertainment at the Hard Rock Café.

This year's prime location on Universal Property is the perfect opportunity to take advantage of all Universal has to offer. With 3 parks and CityWalk entertainment complex there is plenty to capture your attention.

Perks of staying onsite include:

  • Universal Express Unlimited Ride Access - skip the regular lines at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. (Valid theme park admission required; select attractions.)
  • Early Park Admission - Hotel guests get in early each morning. (Valid theme park admission required; select attractions.)
  • Free CityWalk Admission – no cover charges at any CityWalk venue
  • Free transportation – Water taxi's available or an 8-10 minute walk
  • Package Delivery – Free merchandise delivery from their shops to your hotel
  • Charging Privileges – Use your room key anywhere on Universal property to charge back to your hotel room

As part of this years convention we have several Universal experiences built into the program.

Dinner at CityWalk – Marco's will host a private block party dinner on CityWalk. Venues will include Bob Marley — A Tribute To Freedom with a Live Reggae Band, Pat O'Brien's® Orlando with Dueling Piano Players, and CityWalk's Rising Star™ with Live Band Karaoke. Dinner and drinks in a great venue with plenty of music entertainment before concluding the evening with Marvel Super Hero Island. Guests and children are welcome to attend this event but you must purchase a Marvel pass for them during registration.

 

Exclusive Marvel Event – Tuesday evening Marco's will take over Marvel Super Hero Island. We will have exclusive access to the entire section including 3 rides (The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man®, The Incredible Hulk Coaster®, and Doctor Doom's Fearfall®), Kingpin Arcade® on FREE play, DJ entertainment, Superheroes to meet & greet, and shops. Drinks and dessert will be served. Guests and children are welcome to attend this event but you must purchase a Marvel pass for them during registration.

 

Universal Family Day – Choose to play at one of the three parks below. At registration you will select if you are attending a theme park or the waterpark. Additional tickets are available for purchase during registration for guests and minors.

 

Awards Night at Hard Rock Café – We will be rolling out the red carpet to celebrate the top awards winners and all the great accomplishments.

Q.

How much are the hotel rooms?

A.

Our group room rate this year is $239 plus tax per night. You will book this directly through the hotel with a group reservation link. The link will be provided at the end of the registration process and in your registration confirmation email.

 

 

Q.

Is there parking on site at the hotel, and if so, is there a charge?

A.

Daily self-parking is $12.00 + tax.  Valet is currently unavailable.

 

 

Q.

Is there complimentary transportation to local sites/shopping?

A.

Yes, guests have access to a resort shuttle and boat to Universal Orlando and City Walk.  You may contact the concierge at the hotel for additional details and schedule.

 

 

Q.

Is there Wi-Fi in the guest rooms?

A.

Yes.  Basic Wi-Fi is complimentary.

 

 

Q.

Does the hotel have a business center?

A.

The business center is located at the entrance to the convention center.  The hours are 7:00am – 5:30pm.

 

 

 

 

TRANSPORTATION

 

 

Q.

Is transportation provided between the airport and the hotel?

A.

Transportation is not provided.   There are multiple ways to get to the hotel.   Rental Cars, Taxis, Uber and Lyft are all available at the airport.  Additionally, you may schedule a ride with Mears Transportation at their desk located at the airport.

 

  

Q.

How long does it take to get to the hotel from the airport?

A.

Approximately 30 minutes.

 

 

REGISTRATION

 

 

Q.

Are airfare and hotel charges included in the registration fee?

A.

No, airfare and hotel charges are the sole responsibility of each attendee.

 

 

Q.

Do I have to have a signed Franchise/AR Agreement in order to attend as a Franchisee/AR?

A.

Yes, in order to register for convention, you must have a fully executed Franchise/AR Agreement on file, and all funds submitted.

 

 

Q.

Can my partner or family member accompany me at the convention?

A.

Guests 18 years or older who are registered and have paid through the website will receive a name badge, entitling them to entry into meals, meetings, and events.

 

 

Q.

Is there an age limit?

A.

No guest under the age of 18 is permitted at any Corporate Sponsored Event. The only exception to this will be for the exclusive Marvel evening or Universal family day. If you purchase a ticket for the guest to those events all ages are welcome.

 

 

Q.

What does the registration fee cover?

A.

The registration fee includes the following:
Sunday – Welcome reception and dinner.

 

Monday – Breakfast, lunch, General Session, M Talks, MOMS Lab, dinner, and Supplier Show.

 

Tuesday – Breakfast, General Session, lunch, M Talks, MOMS Lab, dinner, and private Marvel event.

 

Wednesday – Golf or Universal Family Day, dinner, and Awards Banquet.

 

 

Q.

If I need to cancel my registration, will I receive a refund?

A.

If cancelled by August 11th, a full refund will be issued. Any cancellation received August 12th or thereafter, will result in a refund, minus a $50 cancellation fee, per person.

Can I attend multiple Fun Day events?

A.

You may only attend one event of your choice.

 

 

Q.

Will Marco’s pay for any other events?

A.

Marco's will offer each attendee a selection of one of two activity options (see agenda). The golf outing is not available for those under the age of 18. We will do our best to accommodate everyone's first choice, however some activities have limited space. Marco's will not pay for any other events or outings other than those listed on the Agenda.

Q.

What should I wear?

A.

Our goal is to offer a comfortable, yet business-like atmosphere. There will be no themed events this year and most of the convention will be business casual. The Welcome Reception will be outdoors, dressy casual but shorts are acceptable. The Awards Dinner will be cocktail attire. For the CityWalk dinner and Marvel evening, dress casual and comfortable yet professional (for example - no graphic t-shirts or crop tops). Please be sure to wear comfortable shoes for that evening in the park.
