ICRP Workshop

Hosted by World Nuclear Association
27-28 September 2023, Bristol, UK

Welcome to representatives of the nuclear industry and ICRP Special Liaison Organisations (SLOs)

The International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP), in collaboration with World Nuclear Association, is looking forward to welcoming representatives of the nuclear industry and ICRP Special Liaison Organisations (SLOs) to a co-organised workshop addressing the themes of holistic optimization of risk and effective communication of the system of radiological protection.

Over the next decade, ICRP will develop their next set of General Recommendations, which will shape radiation-related policy, practice, guidelines, and regulations around the world. This workshop will be an excellent opportunity for World Nuclear Association member companies and nuclear industry representatives to address areas of particular challenge to the nuclear industry related to the optimization process, along with effective communication of the system of radiological protection to both practitioners and stakeholders (such as the public). The results of the workshop will be used to inform the next update to the ICRP General Recommendations.

The ICRP workshop will be held in Bristol, a city voted the most musical city in the UK and the first British city to be named European Green Capital. The city is very well known for its friendly and vibrant atmosphere. It has very good hotels, restaurants and wonderful tourist landmarks.
