ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Executive Education in Healthcare Leadership is a new, immersive leadership development experience offered by the UNC Center for the Business of Health (CBOH). This executive education opportunity will develop healthcare leaders who can lead change through effective operations and process improvement, personal leadership skills, and systems
thinking.
Taught by leading faculty from the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, the UNC School of Medicine, and the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, the program costs $7,500 and consists of two, one-week sessions that will be high-yield, interactive, and immediately applicable to participants' current work and leadership challenges.
Leadership Development
Course sessions will include operations management, change leadership, communication, systems thinking, design thinking, team-building, negotiations, conflict resolution, relational and inclusive leadership, healthcare systems design, healthcare analytics, strategy, project management, and effective network-based leadership.
Change Acceleration
Participants will work in small groups to develop and execute a process or quality improvement project, research project, or other initiative that they will design during the first week of the program, continue to work on for the next six months, and present during the second week of the program.
