In 2022, a Working Group of people passionate about improving access to justice presented a draft national strategy to coordinate and strengthen the efforts to deliver access to civil justice for all. The panel were members of the group, and they will share the ideas gleaned from that process.

When the Taliban regained control of Afghanistan, Judges working under the previous regime, particularly women judges, were forced to flee. With the help of the IAWJ, three judges came to settle in New Zealand: Raihana Attaee, Venus Azizi, and Jaweed Sikandary. In a session chaired by Lynda Kearns KC, they will share their experiences.
