Join the Villanova Law Alumni Association for the annual Villanova Law Alumni Awards!

Prior to the Awards Program, the Villanova Law Review will host their annual alumni reception. Villanova Law Review alumni are invited to attend this cocktail hour from 5:00 - 6:00 pm.

HONOREES

Diane Ambler '78, Partner at K&L Gates, receiving the receiving the Gerald Abraham Award for Service to the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.

This award recognizes outstanding service by alumni to their alma mater. It is presented to alumni who have exhibited outstanding leadership qualities and made significant contributions in time or otherwise to assist the Law School in fulfilling its mission and goals. The award is named in honor of Professor of Law Emeritus Gerald Abraham who joined the Villanova Law faculty in 1962 and served as associate dean of academic affairs from 1977 to 1992, and twice as acting dean.

Diana Cortes '06, City Solicitor for the City of Philadelphia, receiving the VLAA Award for Public Service.

This award recognizes outstanding service by alumni to society, exemplifying the University's Augustinian Catholic values. It is presented to alumni who have dedicated time and energy to the public welfare to ameliorate the lives of the less fortunate and society at large.

Philip Kircher '76, Member at Cozen O’Connor, receiving the St. Thomas of Villanova Award for Pro Bono Service.

This award is presented to alumni of Villanova Law who have performed exceptional pro bono work since graduation, exemplifying the ideals of this law school.

Charles Widger '73, Founding Partner of East Bay Merchant Partners, receiving the VLAA Award for Excellence.

This award was created in honor of the Association's 50th Anniversary, to be presented to an alumnus/a who through significant contributions to justice, the law and the legal profession, has achieved recognized prominence in his or her chosen career by consistently demonstrating the values of critical thinking, mutual respect and a responsibility to those in need, and in doing so, has brought distinction and honor to the Law School.
