Our commitment extends beyond our physical office walls to include third-party events and meeting locations where we gather as Workivians or with external stakeholders. A few years ago, we selected the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville as our host site and city for Workiva Amplify 2023. Earlier this year, the state of Tennessee enacted laws that are very disheartening and exclusionary to many within and outside of the LGBTQ+ community, and go against Workiva’s company value of inclusion.
After careful consideration of alternatives, including discussions with our LGBTQ+ business employee resource group, we elected to proceed with Nashville as our host city. Working alongside the Gaylord Opryland, a brand within Marriott and a consistent HRC Human Equality Index 100% score recipient and DEIB partner, we are creating what we expect will be a great, safe, and welcoming conference for all conference attendees.
