Workiva's Commitment to DE&I

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are core values at Workiva. We strive to create a workplace where everyone is comfortable bringing their best, authentic self to work every day. We recognize DE&I as an important part of our innovation, business success, and award-winning culture.

Our commitment extends beyond our physical office walls to include third-party events and meeting locations where we gather as Workivians or with external stakeholders. At Workiva, we look to spend our resources with businesses and other entities that reflect and share our values, and have procurement processes in place to ensure we uphold our commitments.

A few years ago, we selected the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville as our host site and city for Workiva Amplify 2023. Earlier this year, the state of Tennessee enacted laws that are very disheartening and exclusionary to many within and outside of the LGBTQ+ community, and go against Workiva’s company value of inclusion.

After careful consideration of alternatives, including discussions with our LGBTQ+ business employee resource group, we elected to proceed with Nashville as our host city. Working alongside the Gaylord Opryland, a brand within Marriott and a consistent HRC Human Equality Index 100% score recipient and DEIB partner, we are creating what we expect will be a great, safe, and welcoming conference for all conference attendees.

Other important inclusivity components and options at Workiva Amplify include:

  • Diversity in speakers

  • Accessibility options such as assistive listening devices, captioning and ASL interpreters (upon request)

  • Pronouns on name badges

  • Food options to meet dietary restrictions

  • Lactation rooms

  • Access to a quiet room

  • Access to animal relief areas

If you have any questions, please contact amplify@workiva.com. Workiva is committed to partnering with Marriott to produce an inclusive and welcoming event for all attendees.

See you there!
