Allegis/TownSquare will host you on this exciting excursion to experience some of the world’s most famous and dramatic scenery. A short motor coach ride takes you to Lauterbrunnen and on to Stechelberg, passing impressive waterfalls, quaint villages, flowers, meadows and pine trees. At Stechelberg you board Europe’s longest aerial cable car to the top of Mt. Schilthorn. The difference in height from the ground station to the very top is 7,000 ft which takes you exactly 1,010 seconds of traveling time. Awe-inspiring views stretch from the Black Forest in Germany to the mighty Mont-Blanc massif in France and, of course, the magnificent Mt. Jungfraujoch group with its eternal ice and snow. Lunch can be obtained at the Piz Gloria revolving restaurant 10,000 ft in the sky – made famous by the 007 James Bond film, On her Majesty’s Secret Service, as one of the filming locations.
On the way back to the base of the mountain, we will take time to visit the small town of Murren - a charming village with magnificent views and no traffic noise. It is perched on a shelf of Alpine pasture forming a balcony overlooking the steep cleft of the Lauterbrunnen Valley. Destinations like Murren are hard to find – alpine scenery, mountain culture, and exciting activities! It is a great place for hiking enthusiasts who wish to enjoy the natural beauty of Switzerland.
You’ll travel by coach and rail through spectacular alpine scenery to the village of Zermatt at the foot of the Matterhorn, the most photographed mountain in the world. The Bahnhofstrasse, Zermatt's main street, is a delight with its restaurants, boutiques, souvenir shops, bakeries and shops selling cakes and chocolates. Lunch is on your own. Those who wish can take the Gornergrat Railway, Europe’s highest open-air cog railway which brings passengers from Zermatt at 5,320 feet to the summit of the Gornergrat at over 10,134 feet. At the end of the cogwheel ride is an observation platform with a perfect view of the Matterhorn plus another 28 13,000-foot peaks and the Gorner glacier (this excursion is at your own expense).

Via a short train ride to the shimmering lake of Brienz, you reach one of the prettiest lakes in Switzerland - famous for its deep green waters. Visit Ballenberg Museum and its outdoor living museum, opened in 1978, with genuine old farmhouses dating back 200-300 years, showcasing how Swiss farmers lived in bygone days. Enter the houses and buildings to see old furniture that decorates the kitchen, living room, and bedrooms in which people lived. The utensils for baking bread, cheese-making, weaving, spinning, wood-carving, and coal mining are also on display. Demonstrations of these old crafts take place every day in one house or another.
After your visit, continue on to the picture-book village of Brienz, the center of the Swiss wood-carving industry. Learn about this intriguing old Swiss tradition whilst exploring the site. Photographers will love the quaint wooden farmhouses with geraniums in the windows, take the chance to get some good shots before returning to Interlaken!

Visit a historic town perched on the shore of Lake Thun and the River Aare, with a panoramic view onto the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. Enjoy a two-hour tour introducing you to this charming alpine location, including the town’s best-known landmark, Thun Castle. After a 20-minute ride by motorcoach you reach the magical St. Beatus Caves. Your private guide will treat you to unique tales and facts in a 75-minute tour. After the tour, learn even more about the caves in the St. Beatus museum. At the conclusion of the tour, the motorcoach will take you back to Interlaken.
