Event Details

Location

Surrounded by 36 holes of championship golf and 15 acres of recreation, our Four Diamond rated resort in Orlando, Florida is one of the nation's premier golf, meeting and leisure destinations. Networking

The GDA Convention & Expo offers many networking and social opportunities  including several receptions, CE, sporting events, and time in the exhibit hall!! Everything about the convention is focused on connecting with others!

Continuing Education

Earn up to 20 CE hours over the course of 3 days! We have some great clinical and practice management courses presented by wonderful speakers that everyone in the office will find useful!  For more information on the courses or speakers you can find that on the schedule of events.

Exhibit Hall

Not only do we have a great variety of exhibitors and sponsors who make this event possible,  we also have two receptions, multiple giveaways and cash prizes. 

 

Welcome Reception:
Welcome Reception: Our Exhibit Hall opens with an energetic reception on Thursday night from 4 - 8 pm. Have a drink and enjoy a bite while mingling with the exhibitors and sponsors that make our meeting possible. Make sure to stay for door prize drawings and a cash giveaway!
 
Happy Hour:
Happy hour is in the Exhibit Hall on Friday from 4 – 6 pm. We’ll draw for door prizes. Take advantage of this extra time to network and socialize with your colleagues!
 
 

Fun & Activities

The GDA Convention & Expo is more than your average convention. It’s a family-friendly vacation that’s packed with dozens of activities and opportunities to create lasting memories together.
 
Join your family and friends at the Kick-Off and Awards Breakfast, participate in a wide variety of sporting events and tours, social gatherings,  and the ever-popular Saturday Night Celebration featuring a multitude of exciting activities.
 

Organized activities not your cup of tea? 

Spend some time in the sun at one of the three pools onsite that include a wave pool and a lazy river, play on the beautiful championship golf course, spend some me-time getting pampered at the spa or take advantage of some of the many other amenitites the resort has to offer.

 

HIGHLIGHTS

 

GDAPAC Golf Tournament

Come tee off at the Omni Championship course to support dentistry under the Gold Dome! Have fun with your colleagues, play for a chance to win cash prizes and raise money for the Georgia Dental Association Political Action Committee (GDAPAC). Cash prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Buy a few mulligans and join the fun! 

 

Tennis

Join us for a round robin tournament Saturday morning at the Omni tennis courts.  Players of all skill level are encouraged to join in, but players should be at least 12 years of age. Balls and water will be provided! 
 

GDA Foundation Obstacle Course

Come one, come all and show off your skills. This fundraiser event for the Georgia Dental Foundation is fun for all.  Kicking off at 6:00 pm Friday, you’ll start by taking a lap around the beautiful property lake; walk jog or run, enjoying the abundant wildlife in the area as you go. Next head to the Put-Put course to try your hand at a hole in one! Lastly, bounce over to the lazy river, grab a tube and float, swim or splash your way through one lap. Finish up at Trevi’s Outdoor Terazza for a specialty cocktail and fun time with fellow and recently graduated dentists.  $25 for adults and $15 for children. 

 

ECO TOUR /
FISHING ADVENTURE

Explore 800 square acres of our incredible Florida eco system via golf cart on a one hour Eco Tour. Then try your hand at catching a Florida Large Mouth Bass, and many other species on a one hour Kayak Fishing adventure. Anything is possible on this two hour wildlife excursion. Unique species include Bald Eagles, Sandhill Cranes, Large Mouth Bass, Black Crappies and the always popular American Alligator. All fishing is catch and release, poles will be provided. A signed insurance waiver is required at the time of check-in.
