A Message from the Symposium Co-Chairs and Planning Committee

Please join us at the 2023 Southern California Kaiser Permanente Anesthesiology Symposium at the JW Marriott Anaheim Hotel on Saturday, May 13, 2023. Our committee has planned a comprehensive program addressing a number of current topics on Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine this year. We will have recognized speakers in the field to offer insights on current issues in dealing with some of the most challenging cases encountered by physicians. This year we have also included a hands-on session on transthoracic echocardiograms to the agenda.

The topics we have chosen to focus on at the symposium include:

• Pain Management Practices
• Obstetric Anesthesia
• Changes in Perioperative Settings
• Legislative and Advocacy Topics
• Culture of Quality Care:  Patient Safety and Physician Well-Being

It will be a full day of learning and connecting again with colleagues from around the region in this educational setting.  We encourage you to attend this meeting where you’ll be able to engage in discussions and participate in hands-on training to gain additional knowledge and skills to provide the best quality of care for your patients.

The JW Marriott Anaheim is located just a few blocks from Disneyland, Disney California Adventure Park and many restaurants offering many entertainment options after a full day of compelling presentations.

• Health care workers must follow KP COVID-19 vaccination or exemption policy.
• Participants will not attend if they have symptoms consistent with COVID-19.
• Masks are recommended but not required.
• All attendees agree to report to the Event Coordinator any positive COVID-19 test within 2 weeks of the event.
