Fintech Demos

Four companies have been selected to compete at the Shark Tank event at our Vision Conference, August 9-11, 2023, at Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa in Miramar Beach, FL.

The four companies are:

• CU NextGen
• Illuma
• Gilde
• VisiFi

Selected companies will have 15-minutes to present their solution’s value proposition in the Shark Tank General Session on August 10, 2023 from 1:00pm-2:30pm. See Vision Shark Tank presentation format overview on page 2 for more format details and email attachment of the working conference agenda.

Attendees will vote on which solution they feel would benefit their member most and the winning solution will be announced on Thursday, August 10 at the end of the Shark Tank Session. Winner will be featured in the League of Southeastern Credit Union & Affiliates’ Insight Newsletter and will have an opportunity to present in a breakout session at 2024 Southeast Credit Union Conference & Expo (SCUCE).

Deadlines

If selected to present, there will be a $2,500 fee to participate. The participation fee deadline is Monday, July 31st. All selected companies will receive:

• One conference registration which includes two evening networking events
  • A second conference registration may be purchased for $500.
• Exclusive access to engage with progressive credit union decision makers.
• All travel expenses are your responsibility.

Vision Conference Shark Tank presentation format overview

All four Fintech solutions will present on Thursday, August 10. The speaking time to present will be 15 minues and you will be notified of your 15 minute slot ahead of time. The slots will be comprised of a value proposition presentation and demo.

Presentation

During the presentation, you will have 15 minutes to clearly articulate the value your Fintech solution provides credit unions, including features and benefits of your solution and demo. We also recommend you highlight applicable use cases for which credit unions cans use your solution. We will have a confidence monitor with a countdown clock run by the presenters. When your allotted 15 minutes of presentation time is complete, you will need to conclude your presentation so we can transition to the next solution.

Content guidelines

• Communicate what your solution does, benefits to the member, and benefits to the credit union in a clear and concise manner.
• Practice ahead of time as fifteen minutes will go fast.
• Provide information on your research, technical detail, integration capabilities/dependencies and ease of use/branding. Per our advisory group they want to see functionally and technically understand how it works from a member experience perspective.
• Feel free to have one person present and another team member operate the demo.
• Allow a little time for Q&A.
