What is Vision?

The Vision Conference is a re-imagination of legacy events. This event is defined by a focus on the future and with a bold look at technology, TED Talk style presentations, credit union idea sharing, and a more interactive experience with system partners. There will be think tank style roundtables with innovation exercises designed to provide leaders with thought-provoking ideas and innovations that they can use.

LSCU's Special Guest

As LSCU’s special guests at both Exhibit Hall Receptions and the Shark Tank event, we wanted to highlight innovation in a school located in Inlet Beach, FL. The Magnet Innovation Center leadership and students will be with us to showcase their innovation and robotics and to also learn about credit unions, our service providers, and technological advances happening in the banking space.

The Magnet Innovation Center is Walton County School District's newest public high school. Born out of Superintendent Hughes's vision for and steadfast commitment to reaching every child in our community and helping them maximize their potential, the Magnet Innovation Center was formed in partnership with St. Joe's to offer hands-on, project-based learning opportunities that bolster student learning and capacity in STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. To this end, the school offers a premier education with state-of-the-art equipment across each of the magnet programs offered to students: biomedical science, computer science, digital design, visual and performing arts with an emphasis on theatre, and engineering.

In the four years the school has existed, it has risen to prominence by accelerating student learning to the highest degree of cognitive performance. Our students achieved exceptionally high levels of not only proficiency but also mastery as measured by the state's assessment metrics. In 2022-2023, the school and its students earned a perfect 100% on five of the seven state components for high schools. The students of this school compete at the highest levels of international competitions across multiple disciplines, including in robotics matches by sea, air, and land. The staff and the students of this illustrious school are unwavering in their commitment to student learning and in helping each student reach his or her fullest potential. Ensuring the presence and success of tomorrow's leaders, titans of industry, inventors, cancer-curers, financial forerunners, and epic entrepreneurs begins in today's classrooms—igniting a spark in each child for what their future can hold and then dynamically preparing them to fulfill their dreams.
