Dr. Radhakrishnan (Rod) Ramchandren was recruited as the Chief, Division of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine and University of Tennessee Medical Center (UTMC) in February 2019. Coming from the Karmanos Cancer Center in Michigan, he joined the faculty at UTMC as a Professor of Medicine. As the Division Chief, Dr. Ramchandren will be focusing on enhancing the academic and research endeavors of the Division with a focus on medical education and the development of a Hematology and Oncology fellowship training program.
Dr. Ramchandren has clinical and research interests in hematologic malignancies (cancers of the blood and lymph system) with a particular focus on the treatment and management of lymphoma. Dr. Ramchandren maintains an active clinical practice and has been involved in clinical research and the development of novel therapies for patients with hematologic malignancies.
In his spare time Dr. Ramchandren is happiest exploring east Tennessee and rooting for the Volunteers with his wife Sindhu and their 3 children.
Dr. Clark Cutrer joined the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville as a Hematologist/Oncologist in June of 2022.
He attended Mississippi State University for his undergrad studies and attended medical school at the University of MS Medical Center (UMMC). After that his residency was at UMMC Internal Medicine and his fellowship at UMMC Hematology and Oncology.
He moved to Knoxville at the end of June with his wife, Alyson, 2 year old son, Raleigh and they now have a new baby girl. Their 2 dogs, Dakota and Snickers, round out their family.
He enjoys spending time with his family, going to church, running, watching movies and Mississippi State sports.
