Dean and Mei Chiang Yoost

Dean and Mei have resided in Irvine since October 2002, except for a two-year hiatus while they were in Tokyo.

Dean is a board member of Pacific Life Insurance Company and one of three advisory committee members of American Honda Finance Corporation. He is the chairman of a startup company in digital health. Dean retired as a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers after 33 years. He is a trustee and member of the executive committee of the UCI Foundation.

Mei retired from China Airlines in Taiwan after a long, distinguished career. She is the elected president of the China Airlines’ Alumni Association in Southern California.

Since their arrival in Orange County, both Dean and Mei have been active and strong supporters of UCI’s Diabetes Center. They are often seen on campus walking and playing ball with their three four-legged friends, Otto, Helga, and Chico.
