Los Cabos

Los Cabos (The Capes) is located at the tip of  Baja California (better known as the Sea of Cortez) and the Pacific Ocean. A one-of-a-kind Mexican destination, the Cabo area has beautiful landscapes where the wonders of the desert mix with the ocean's blue.

Although relatively undiscovered 100 years ago, Los Cabos is now an idyllic world-class travel destination. The area is consistently rated as one of the world's best travel and tourism locals for couples, families, meetings, and fun!

Los Cabos offers a range of activities from sportfishing, championship golf, and desert adventures to whale watching, eclectic shopping excursions, and of course, relaxing days to enjoy and recoup.

Culture

Though mostly famous for its flashy lifestyle and celebrity sightings, Los Cabos is brimming with traditional Mexican culture and customs. Local life abounds every day if you look for it. Families and friends gather in downtown plazas, such as San Jose del Cabo, to take a leisurely afternoon stroll and stop at La Tropical for its famous ice cream. Ranchers in Miraflores continue traditions as they line the roadside doing daily chores to make a living. Choyero is the term for native people of Los Cabos, while locals born in Cabo San Lucas are referred to as Cabenos, and those born in San Jose del Cabo are known as Cabo Josefinos. Next time you visit Los Cabos, keep an eye out for its organic lifeblood - the people and its culture.
