Our refreshed Fall 2026 Administrator Leadership Program kicks off with two days of in-person Leadership Foundations training, followed by seven paced learning modules and live, online training hosted by world-class subject matter experts. It's the same highly respected program that has been trusted by Ontario LTC administrators for over 30 years, enhanced and updated for 2026!

What You'll Learn

The ALP program offers a comprehensive curriculum that introduces key concepts and explores how they can be applied in your home. The course covers:

  • Essential legislation, regulations, and compliance requirements that govern Ontario long-term care operations.
  • Foundations of effective leadership
  • Operational excellence in LTC, with a focus on quality improvement, risk management, financial oversight, and performance measurement.
  • Resident-centred care Leadership principles, including clinical considerations, service delivery, ethical decision-making, and creating environments that support safety and wellbeing.
  • Strategic planning and change management, equipping leaders to guide initiatives, respond to emerging challenges, and lead their homes through transformation.
  • Opportunities for mentoring with LTC Leaders

Fees

AdvantAge Ontario Member: $3,975

Non-Member: $4,725

Course fees include virtual orientation meeting; a two-day, in-person Leadership Retreat (breakfast and lunch included); 10 half-day Zoom training sessions covering 7 modules; testing, group work assignment, and final presentation. Also includes electronic copies of all course materials, and a digital certificate.
