FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHO IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND?
IHG Owners and Operators from Crowne Plaza® Hotels & Resorts, Hotel Indigo®, voco® Hotels and EVEN® Hotels are required to attend the conference. ​Per the Franchise Disclosure Document and Brand Standards, conference attendance and payment of the registration fee are mandatory.

The standards applicable to each brand state that the Licensee (or, if Licensee is not an individual, a representative of Licensee) and the General Manager must attend the IHG® Americas Premium Investors and Leadership Conference and must pay the registration fee. Participants are responsible for paying the registration fee, which will be billed directly. Supplemental registration fees will apply to an accompanying personal guest and must be paid for at the time of registration. If the Licensee and/or General Manager do not attend conference, the hotel will be invoiced $1,999 USD for each mandatory registration fee.


Licensees/Owners: One Owner representative is required to attend. An Owner may represent multiple properties for which they carry ownership.
Operators: One Operator representative per hotel is also required to attend.

 

ARE MY FEES BILLED?
Yes. In August 2023, IHG will invoice hotels and licensees for the registration fees. Guest fees cannot be invoiced and require payment at the time of registration.
 

WHAT ARE REGISTRATION FEES?
At the time of registration, please ensure you include your hotel Holidex/Inncode(s) so we may record your attendance. Owners, Operators, and Corporate attendees' full conference registration fees are $1,999 USD per person.
Guest/Social Registration Fees are $1,000 USD*

*Guest/Social Registration includes access to meals and social events only.

 

HOW DO I BOOK ACCOMMODATIONS FOR THE CONFERENCE?
The voco Chicago Downtown has been selected to host this year’s IHG Americas Premium Investors & Leadership Conference. For the best possible experience, the conference has an exclusive buyout of the entire dual-branded voco hotel and Holiday Inn on Monday and Tuesday nights. It is mandatory for all participants to book accommodations at this venue in the brand and category assigned to them through the booking link that is provided in the registration confirmation email.

The group hotel booking deadline is April 10. After April 10, guest rooms may be reserved based on hotel availability.

 

WHEN SHOULD I PLAN TO ARRIVE & DEPART FROM THE CONFERENCE?
Unless otherwise noted, all conference events will take place at voco Chicago Downtown. The conference program will begin early afternoon on May 8 and adjourn the afternoon of May 10. Depart beginning May 10 based on agenda for the closing day or at leisure on May 11.
 

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO THE CONFERENCE?
Recommended attire is business casual. Dress jeans and sport coat or blazer are acceptable for all events.
 

WHAT IF AN ATTENDEE MUST CANCEL?
Conference attendance is mandatory, and the registration fee will be billed regardless of participation. To ensure there is minimal waste at the conference, registration cancellations must be received by midnight Eastern Standard Time on April 10, 2023 if unable to attend. All guest and additional non-mandatory hotel registration fee payments are non-refundable starting April 11, 2023.

You can cancel your registration by notifying IHG in writing via email to support@thinkwits.com. Please allow 24-28 hours for your cancellation to be processed. You will receive an email confirmation once your cancellation request is completed.

Hotel reservations must be canceled directly based on individual bookings.

Please be advised that some sessions and events at the Conference will be recorded with video and audio. By attending the Conference, you are consenting to such recordings.​

We will be utilizing attendee tracking devices to capture attendee contact information via QR codes printed on the name badges. IHG and its affiliated companies may use this contact information for future correspondence with attendees regarding prizes and other benefits awarded in connection with the Conference, as well as for sharing Conference-related news and information. Attendees may opt out of having their contact information recorded by simply declining from scanning their badges. Attendees who do not get their badges scanned for certain sessions or events may be excluded from receiving prizes, awards, and attendance recognition as a result.​
