Announcing “Kiawah Eye & Retina” for General Ophthalmologists and Retina Specialists
South Carolina’s Leading Ophthalmology Meeting Adds Retina Program

KIAWAH ISLAND, SC — June 23, 2025 — Kiawah Eye, a premier ophthalmology CME meeting held annually in Kiawah Island, South Carolina, is excited to announce the launch of a dedicated Retina Program debuting at the 2026 meeting. Long recognized for its high-quality, interactive education in a scenic coastal setting, Kiawah Eye & Retina will expand its reach to serve the growing retina specialist community across the southern region—while continuing to support its core audience of comprehensive ophthalmologists.

For more than two decades, Kiawah Eye has built its reputation as a high-energy, interactive meeting that delivers clinically relevant information for the anterior segment and comprehensive ophthalmologist. We’re delighted to announce that we’re including retina at our world-class meeting,” said Dr. Eric D. Donnenfeld (Garden City, NY), Co-Director of the Comprehensive Program.

Our dynamic format—centered around engagement, innovation and real-world learning—is especially well suited to the retina field, which continues to evolve with groundbreaking therapies and surgical advancements,” added Dr. Kerry D. Solomon (Charleston, SC), Co-Director of the Comprehensive Program.

The new Retina Program will be led by Dr. Rishi P. Singh, who brings a wealth of expertise and national leadership in retina education. Over the coming weeks, he’ll appoint a prestigious planning committee to help shape the inaugural program and identify timely, clinically relevant agenda topics. The Retina Program will debut with a robust lineup of clinical sessions, expert-led case discussions and high-energy debates—designed specifically to address the real-world challenges retina physicians face today.

We’re building a retina program that’s engaging, collaborative and clinically relevant. Attendees can expect interactive learning formats, timely topics and fresh perspectives from top retina specialists,” said Dr. Rishi P. Singh, newly appointed Course Director for the Retina Program. “In addition, retina-focused industry partners are invited to exhibit and sponsor, offering a prime opportunity to engage directly with retina specialists in a focused, regional setting.”

Kiawah Eye & Retina 2026 will take place from May 28-30 at the West Beach Conference Center at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort in South Carolina. Attendees may register online here.
