Clays for a Cause is a charitable sporting clays program produced and underwritten by Kentucky Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company. Every dollar raised from the event—whether through sponsorships, donations or participant entry fees—is given directly to a local or regional charity specified by KFB.

Our charitable focus? With help from some very well-aligned partners, we are striving to support their efforts to curb food insecurity in our state. Did you know that one out of every six Kentuckians faces problems with hunger? That means that on any given day, more than 700,000 people in the Commonwealth do not know where they will find their next meal. Keeping that need in mind, KFB Insurance has used the money raised over the past four years through Clays for a Cause to help increase awareness of hunger issues right here in our state and assist those best equipped to aid our neighbors in need.

WHERE DO THE FUNDS GO?

To date, Clays for a Cause has donated more than $1,000,000 to charity. Every dollar raised from the event—whether through sponsorships, donations or participant entry fees—benefits a local or regional charity specified by KFB.

100% of the proceeds raised from the first fours years of Clays for a Cause (2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022) were dedicated to support local hunger organizations—Feeding Kentucky, Glean Kentucky, and Kentucky Hunters for the Hungry—and help raise awareness of food insecurity in our state via the “Kentucky Hunger Initiative." The Kentucky Hunger Initiative was launched in 2016 by Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner Ryan Quarles to bring together farmers, charitable organizations, faith groups, community leaders, and government entities to look for ways to reduce hunger in Kentucky.
