Scotiabank Girls HockeyFest 2023

We believe Canada’s game should be for all Canadians. That’s why we’re proud to offer a series of experiences

specifically supporting young women at all levels in hockey.

Welcome to Scotiabank Girls HockeyFest.

Scotiabank Girls HockeyFest gives young women the opportunity to learn from some of the top hockey players

in Canada. No matter their experience level, girls 7-14 years old will participate in on-ice drills, off-ice training,

and a session with a member of the Professional Women's Hockey Players Association (PWHPA). With the help

of professional hockey players and PWHPA members and coaches, participants will learn to become better

players and even better teammates.

Scotiabank is happy to provide this event FREE of charge to all participants.

What to Expect

Scotiabank Girls HockeyFest is a half-day event for U7-U11 and U13-U15 aged players. Participants will rotate between three

sessions; on-ice skills, off-ice training and a PWHPA Session. The PWHPA Session offers an inspirational guest speaker

presentation from a member of the PWHPA (Professional Women's Hockey Players Association) including a Q&A and

participant giveaways; this year we ask that only youth participants attend this session. Snack boxes will be provided for

participants consisting of both a food and beverage item (options based on location). Please see location specific pages for

event schedules.

The registration will be first come, first serve, replacing the lottery from previous years. Please stay tuned to the Scotiabank

Girls HockeyFest website for more information and registration dates as they are announced!

The Learn To Play session offers a safe, inclusive and fun atmosphere for young women to be introduced to skating and gain

exposure to the sport. No equipment? No problem. We will have equipment including a helmet, skates, and gloves provided

by CCM available on-site to participate in the program.

The Level Up session offers players who are currently playing in organized hockey who are looking to continue their growth

within the sport. Instruction will include hockey skills and drills as well as off-ice training and ball hockey.

The Elite Skills session offers players who are looking to improve their skills to take their game to the next level. Although not

Instruction will include Elite Skills Off-Ice Session provided by
