A Day with Ofsted | Leeds

A Day with Ofsted | Leeds

Overview

Ofsted continues to play a vital part in the further education and skills system. Inspection can be a major 'make or break' event for all provider types in direct receipt of government funding. Understanding how Ofsted looks at things, its latest thinking, and where its concerns lie, is important for all of us. The conference will also explore recent announcements by Ofsted on introducing a “shadow nominee” from January 2023, a review of inspection notice periods/durations and the recent publications on both the new T-Levels and Skills Bootcamp programmes.

As with previous years, the ‘A Day with Ofsted’ event will provide an overview of the Chief Inspector's Annual Report delivered by Paul Joyce, HMI, Deputy Director for Further Education and Skills, followed by a range of informative workshop sessions from respected and recognisable specialist advisors.

The event will also offer peer to peer support with a "Building back better" session where delegates will have the opportunity to hear from recent providers about their journey to being judged as good and a Provider Showcase panel discussion with speakers from a range of provider types, ensuring we are catering for everyone in our membership.
