Matika Wilbur

(Swinomish and Tulalip)

Matika Wilbur is a storyteller from the Swinomish and Tulalip peoples of coastal Washington. She is the creator of Project 562, and co-host of the All My Relations Podcast.

Project 562 is a national documentary project dedicated to photographing contemporary Native America. For ten years, she traveled Indian Country to photograph members of over 500 Tribal sovereign nations. Her highly anticipated book, “Project 562: Changing The Way We See Native America”, launches on April 25th. She is traveling to the 2023 AISES Leadership Summit in Tulsa, Oklahoma to celebrate and share stories, as Henrietta Mann, an esteemed AISES Council of Elders Emeritus is on the book cover. Both Matika and Henri will be signing books at the event. Matika will be giving away 100 books (courtesy of Steven and Kate Spielberg) to AISES attendees!
