Although you may notice some new names and email addresses, Linda Lawson, Kinetico’s long-time travel partner, remains in place as Kinetico’s lead trip coordinator. She, along with many of her team members who have worked on past Kinetico programs, will provide the same excellent service and attention to detail that you’ve come to expect on Kinetico trips.
KINETCO TRIP POLICIES
Last-minute cancellations, “no shows,” or substitutions (replacing a registered guest with another), occurring less than 2 weeks before the trip, will incur a service fee of $300 and will be required to reimburse Kinetico for half the cost of the airfare and any other applicable charges.
Trips to Kinetico’s exclusive Incentive Trip and Awards Ceremony are by invitation only and may not be purchased unless the dealership has already earned a trip or trips in an award category. Trips for purchase are subject to availability. Contact Pam Langlotz at Kinetico with questions on purchasing trips.
All travel and hotel arrangements MUST be booked through Kinetico’s travel agency. If travel and hotel arrangements are made outside of the Kinetico program (online or through a personal travel agency), guests will be charged an additional fee to participate in Kinetico’s private events.
Earned trips are not transferable from one dealer/salesperson to another nor can they be exchanged for cash, goods or services.
DOCUMENTATION
As a U.S. citizen visiting Panama, you must have a valid passport. (Passports and other documents accepted for entry must be valid a minimum of 3 months from your arrival day.) CURRENCY
The official currency of Panama is the Balboa, named after Spanish explorer Vasco Núñez de Balboa. One Balboa is divided into 100 cents. Since 1904 one Balboa equals one US Dollar and since then, the US Dollar has legally circulated in Panama. In other words, in practice, the currency used day-to-day in Panama is the US dollar, which is also legal tender. For this reason, Panama is considered a dollarized country.
ELECTRICITY
Local voltage is between 110 and 120 volts AC and plugs are identical to the US standard.
PHONE SERVICE & INTERNET
Additional charges will apply when making international calls from your room. We suggest that you check with your cell phone service provider to see if your service plan extends to Panama. Please be advised that additional roaming charges may apply. Wireless high-speed internet access is complimentary in each guest room and in public areas throughout the property.
TIME ZONE
During our trip dates, the US will be observing Daylight Savings Time (DST). Panama does not observe DST and will remain on Eastern Standard Time (EST).
