Abstract submissions will be blindly reviewed for poster presentations. The abstract size is limited to 2000 characters (not including spaces). To ensure that this size is met, please prepare and submit your abstract as a Word document on the Radiation Research Society's Abstract submission page.
You will have the option to submit your abstract to be considered for an “Oral Presentation” spot or to “Poster Session Only.” Oral presentations will be selected from abstracts submitted by the April 12, 2023 deadline. Those not selected for oral presentations will be given the option to present in one of the poster sessions. Please do not submit your abstract to multiple submission categories.
Authors submitting abstracts are responsible for ensuring that all authors listed on the abstract have been notified of the submission.
The presenting author will receive all future correspondence from RRS regarding the abstract.
All presentations must be scientific in nature and with include of commercial messages or inappropriate references to specific products, services or commercial concerns. The title should be bold and in lowercase letters with only the first word capitalized unless it is normally capitalized.
EXAMPLE: Temperature dependence of ionizing radiation effect on dry preparations of bacterial DNA
The body of the abstract should be single-spaced. Tables, graphs and structural formulae may not be included, although simple mathematical formulae are acceptable. Images/graphics are accepetable.
As much as possible, abstracts will be placed within the following categories:
|AI in Imaging||AOPs||Biomarkers, Biodosimetry||Cancer Metabolism||Chromatin Architecture and Epigentics|
|Combined Stressors for Space Exploration||Countermeasures, Preparedness and Responses||DNA Damage and Repair||Dosimetry||FLASK Mechanism|
|Immune Response to Radiation||Large Epidemiology Studies||Low Dose and Dose Rate||Microbiome||Microenviroment and Hypoxia|
|ML for Treatment and Outcome Prediction||Multi-Scale Modeling||Nanotechnology||Non-Cancer Effects||Normal Tissue|
|Out of Field and Systemic Effects||Proton and Heavy Ion Therapy||Radiation Carcinogenesis and Second Malignancies||Radiation Omics||
|Radioecology||Radiopharmaceuticals||RBE||RNA||RT and Immunomodulation|
|Space Radiation||Spatial Fractionation||Towards Clinical FLASH|
Poster dimensions are limited to 4’ H x 4’ W (1.2m x 1.2m). Each poster should include a heading with the title and author(s) using lettering at least 22 mm (1”) high. The abstract should be included as part of the poster presentation. The legible print should be viewable from 1 meter away. Therefore, letter should be heavy and at least 10 mm (3/8”) high.
