For over 20 years, Impact100 has been making a difference in communities across the country and the world.
The organization was founded in 2001 to bolster the role that women can play in philanthropy, and to encourage women to be philanthropic leaders. It was launched with the goal of empowering women to see themselves as activists by awarding large and impactful grants in their communities. In 2003, the organization was noticed by People Magazine, and the story they published helped the model to grow tremendously.
Our 68 chapters operate in the United States along with Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom to transform the lives of millions of people through women’s philanthropy. With the help of more than 30,000 members over two decades, Impact100 will collectively exceed $123 million in giving by the end of 2022.
The model is simple, and ensures that the maximum amount of membership dollars reach the nonprofit grantees. In most cases, at least 100 women come together as a local chapter. Each member donates $1,000, and a minimum grant of $100,000 is awarded to a local non-profit organization.
We believe that when an empowered group of women come together to collaborate, they can ignite transformational change in their communities.
We actively support the work of Impact100 chapters around the globe as they build and sustain belonging-centered cultures that recognize, embrace, and support diverse identities and experiences within their organizations and communities.
We provide resources and opportunities for Impact100 chapters to deepen their understanding of personal and systemic biases and to incorporate the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of their work.
