Tammy is responsible for connecting the dots - across products, users, partners, media, civic sector, and government - to enable Vietnamese people and businesses to thrive locally and in the global economy. Before Marketing at Google, Tammy led strategic product and channel partnerships for Google across Southeast Asia, where she partnered with enterprise startups, technology companies, and advertising agencies to help businesses grow with Google’s advertising solutions. Prior to Google, Tammy worked at American Express, where she drove new partnership business development across Asia Pacific. She also has Management Consulting experience across the US and Asia with Accenture and the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Born in Vietnam, Tammy was educated abroad. Tammy graduated from Stanford University, and has an MBA from INSEAD in Singapore and France.
2022 had been a year starting with a feeling of hope around post-pandemic recovery, only to be mixed with concerns from the economic downturns and the socio-economic effects that followed. Sumana works closely with Economist Corporate Network members to help inform their business strategies through political, economic and operational insight and to connect them with their senior leadership peers. Sumana is a senior policy professional with 17 years of business advisory experience, nine of those as an analyst, principal and director with the EIU from 2011-2020. He has most recently been working in the Chinese technology sector, including stints at Kuaishou Technology and ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok. Before joining The Economist Group, Sumana worked as a journalist and in public relations with a focus on government and institutional clients. Sumana holds a BA in political science from UCLA and a Master’s degree in public policy from the University of Michigan.
