The Council of Supply Chain Management Professional’s (CSCMP) Academic Research Symposium (ARS) is an excellent opportunity to meet with academic peers and scholars to critically engage in scientific discourse and the exchange of ideas relating to academic research and teaching methodologies. This unique opportunity occurs concurrently with CSCMP’s professional supply chain conference and exhibition, EDGE, allowing academic attendees opportunities for engaging with the industry practitioners.
The 2023 symposium will examine past, present, and future innovations that continue to advance the supply chain management and logistics discipline. The ARS embraces research from all areas of business, featuring multiple breakout tracks by topical area as well as pedagogical (teaching) advances. The breakout tracks typically feature 3 tracks focused on research and 1 track is focused on pedagogy. Additionally, there are panel discussions, poster sessions, and roundtable discussion groups.
The Academic Research Symposium (ARS) is a 1.5-day event beginning Saturday, September 30th and will conclude on Sunday, October 1st.
EDGE 2023 registrations include access to the ARS. ARS only tickets are also available. Register today!

View the ARS Paper Guidelines here.
Only complete research papers will be considered for the E. Grosvenor Plowman Award, which is awarded for the best research paper of the Academic Research Symposium.
The online submission period is now closed, but please consider preparing to submit for the 2024 ARS (September 28-29, Nashville, TN).
The Doctoral Symposium is held each year at CSCMP's Annual Conference - EDGE. The symposium is specifically designed for doctoral candidates specializing in supply chain management and related fields of study who intend to pursue a career in academia. From the reviews of both participants and faculty, those students currently in their latter stages of doctoral studies will find this event most beneficial.
The online nomination period is now closed, but please consider preparing to submit for the 2024 Doctoral Symposium (September 30, Nashville, TN).
The Doctoral Dissertation Award (DDA) is open to all who will have completed their doctoral work in a field related to functions within the supply chain between January 1, 2023, and June 1, 2024.
To be considered eligible, candidates MUST be a member of CSCMP, follow the criteria and formatting guidelines, and submit a completed application form to the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP).
The online nomination period is now closed, but please consider preparing to submit for the 2024 ARS (September 28-29, Nashville, TN).
