Businesses must meet the following criteria, based on the category:

 

 

 

HUBZone
Business of the Year
 
Business must be a current certified HUBZone company
 
Business must be in good standing with the Small Business Administration
 
Must maintain an active registration on SAM.gov
 
Firm must be currently doing business with the Federal Government with at least one or more award received in 2022
 
Firm must show demonstrated history of success in business in 2022 ​​​​​​​
 
Must be in satisfactory financial condition
8(a)
Business of the Year
 
Business must be a current certified 8(a) company or been a certified company for the duration of 2022
 
Business must be in good standing with the Small Business Administration
 
Must maintain an active registration on SAM.gov 
 
Firm must be currently doing business with the Federal Government with at least one or more award received in 2022
 
Firm must show demonstrated history of success in business in 2022
 
Must be in satisfactory financial condition
Native/Tribal
Business of the Year
 

Business must be a registered Alaska Native Corporation, Native Tribal or Native Hawaiian Organization

 

Business must be in good standing with the Small Business Administration

 

Must maintain an active registration on SAM.gov 

 

Firm must be currently doing business with the Federal Government with at least one or more award received in 2022

 

Firm must show demonstrated history of success in business in 2022

 

Must be in satisfactory financial condition

Women Owned Small
Business of the Year
 
Business must be a current certified Women Owned Small Business
 
Business must be in good standing with the Small Business Administration
 
Must maintain an active registration on SAM.gov 
 
Firm must be currently doing business with the Federal Government with at least one or more award received in 2022
 
Firm must show demonstrated history of success in business in 2022
 
Must be in satisfactory financial condition
Veteran Owned Small
Business of the Year
 
Business must be a current certified Veteran Owned Small Business
 
Business must be in good standing with the Small Business Administration
 
Must maintain an active registration on SAM.gov 
 
Firm must be currently doing business with the Federal Government with at least one or more award received in 2022
 
Firm must show demonstrated history of success in business in 2022

Local Small Business of the Year (SBA Region VI)
 
To Highlight our Event Location, this Award Category is Open to Businesses Registered in SBA’s South Central Region (Region VI) including Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas
 
Business must be registered in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and/or Texas
 
Business must be in good standing with the Small Business Administration and have an active registration on SAM.gov
 
Firm must be currently doing business with the Federal Government with at least one or more award received in 2022
 
Firm must show demonstrated history of success in business in 2022
 
Must be in satisfactory financial condition

 

 

Corporate Citizen
of the Year
 
Individual must be a part of a business, organization or agency currently in the Government Contracting Industry
 
Individual must show demonstrated history of support and advocacy to the small business community in 2022

 

 

Large Prime
Company of the Year
 
Large Prime Company must be currently doing business with the Federal Government with at least one or more award received in 2022
 
Large Prime Company must have satisfied their small business subcontracting goals in 2022
 
Large Prime Company must show demonstrated history of subcontracts and support to the small business community
 
Large Prime Company must have a demonstrated history of successful Teaming Joint Ventures, and Mentor Protégés in the small business community in 2022

 

 

Agency
of the Year
 

Agency must have satisfied the Small Business Administration small businesses contracting goals and/or their Agency small business award goals in FY2022.

 
Agency must show demonstrated history of awards and support to the small business community in FY2022

 

 

Vendor Partner
of the Year
 
Firm must be a vendor that provides products, services, or educational resources to the small business Federal Government Contracting Industry (separate or in addition to providing products or services directly to the Federal Government)
 
Firm must show a history of support and advocacy to the small business community in 2022
 
Firm must show demonstrated history of success in business in FY2022
 
Must be in satisfactory financial condition
