A. Districts are instructed to adopt systems put in place by World Headquarters. As such, please take care to book your airline reservation through our travel agency, Travel Edge. If there are circumstances where you need to book outside of the Toastmasters corporate travel agent, you will need to submit your request through the registration system for approval. Please refer back to the travel page for information on how to submit for a travel booking exemption.
A. A benefit of booking with our agent is your airline ticket is prepaid by Toastmasters International and you will not pay for it out-of-pocket. We can also assist you better if challenges arise.
A. Although we cannot make guarantees, please indicate their names in the appropriate place as you register, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
A. No. Each District leader must complete their registration via the registration system, including requests for airline reservations.
A. Yes, at your personal expense. Toastmasters International pays for round-trip public transportation costs at the lowest rate between the passenger terminal nearest the training site and the passenger terminal nearest the home of the officer. Travel Edge is happy to help plan your trip and will collect the fare difference for any additional travel costs from you directly.
A. You will receive an email within five business days of the submission with details of your approval or denial.
A. Yes. District leaders are responsible for booking their own hotel accommodations within the Toastmasters room block at the host hotel. If budgeted, and approved, Districts may reimburse the District Director, Program Quality Director and Club Growth Director for lodging expenses. The hotel booking information will be made available to District leaders once they complete the registration process and can also be found in the confirmation email received once registration is completed.

A. Your confirmation email will list all the ground transportation options available for your destination. Airport ground transportation may be reimbursable if your District has budgeted for this expense.
A: One of the primary factors that contributed to the Mid-year Training location and date decisions was the goal to keep overall meeting, travel, and lodging costs as low as possible for the organization and for individual Districts. In addition, Mid-year Training locations were chosen to make it as easy as possible for District leaders to travel to those locations.
A. No. Mid-year Training is specifically designed for District Directors, Program Quality Directors and Club Growth Directors. If they cannot attend, we encourage them to complete the Pre-work and review training materials with their Region Advisor and other members of their District team who were able to attend.
A. Prior to Mid-year Training, the Training Team at World Headquarters will provide information and instructions on how best to prepare.
A. Breakfast, lunch, and two refreshment breaks will be provided during training on Day One and Day Two. A Networking Dinner opportunity will be provided to District leaders immediately following training on Day One.
Any additional meals outside of the above listed inclusions are the responsibility of District leaders. If budgeted, and approved, Districts may reimburse the District Director, Program Quality Director and Club Growth Director for meal expenses.
