Optional Activities

The Broadmoor offers amazing and unique recreational activities. You and your guest will each have the choice of one sponsored activity on Friday, October 21 and Saturday, October 22 (one per person, per day) - please review the recreation options below and note your selections during registration.
 

GOLF

Available on Friday, October 21 and Saturday, October 22

Set in the Cheyenne Mountain foothills of Colorado Springs, The Broadmoor Golf Club is consistently ranked among the best in the world. Our two iconic courses were designed by some of golf’s greatest names, and have played host to numerous national tournaments, including the U.S. Women's Open and PGA Cup Matches. Presidents, politicians, celebrities, and legendary athletes have played at The Broadmoor, and our distinctive courses have challenged them all.

The Broadmoor Golf Club features two full-service practice facilities at our resort. The Main practice facility serves guests on the East and West Courses, and includes a multi-tiered full-swing area with five target greens, two chipping greens with bunkers, and three putting greens.

Time: shotgun start at 2:00 PM

Includes: green fees, rental clubs (if needed), cart usage, beverages, snacks and lunch on course

What to Wear: the Broadmoor requires that all guests are properly attired while on thier championship golf courses. Men are required to wear a shirt with a collar. Ladies are required to wear a blouse with a collar or sleeves. Ladies' and men's shorts are to be Bermuda length. Soft spikes are required. Bare midriffs, short shorts, cut-offs or denim jeans are not permitted.

The Spa at The Broadmoor

Unwind, rejuvenate and refresh with the comprehensive wellness, fitness and spa experiences at The Broadmoor. Marrying holistic, time-honoured practices with modern therapeutic products and techniques. The skilled spa practitioners honor the tradition of creating an oasis of culture in Colorado Springs, with restorative treatments that are tailored to address the unique needs and wellness goals of every guest in a luxurious yet serene setting.

The Spa at The Broadmoor is known internationally for its innovative services and integrated approach to health and relaxation. To ensure the most beneficial experience possible, you will be asked several health history questions by your practitioner prior to the start of your treatment. Between treatments, you are invited to relax in the Spa's dry saunas, which are infused with Pink Himalayan Salt Walls, steam rooms, oxygen rooms or fireplace lounges. The co-ed Mountain View Room overlooks the lush golf course and the Rocky Mountains beyond, offering an additional space to enjoy quiet reflection and light refreshments. 

You will have the choice of one of these options during registration: 

Broadmoor Signature Massage
This signature massage creates carefree comfort and is the ultimate massage experience. A wonderful combination of smooth, flowing massage techniques will ensure complete relaxation from head to toe. This begins with an inhalation to calm and ground the body followed by a full body and scalp massage, concluding with your feet encompassed in warm towels and a soothing foot massage (50 minutes).

Timeless Facial 
With precise customization and specific products selected just for you, this facial will stand the test
of time! This results-focused, restorative facial was built and created for all skin types. Our skincare specialists will perform a variety of techniques guaranteeing to leave the skin feeling soft, extremely hydrated and with a beautiful glow.

Includes: spa treatment and therapist gratuity, as well as use of the spa ameneties

Falconry

Available on Friday, October 21 only

Experience “The Sport of Kings” through this unique opportunity that allows you an up-close encounter with majestic birds of prey. Your lesson begins at the mews, where the birds of Broadmoor are housed. Their falconer introduces you to the fleet of birds and discusses the unique characteristics of each species along with the history of this 4000-year-old tradition. Transitioning from the mews to the flying field, your lesson continues with a free-flight demonstration, where the falconer demonstrates training tactics and commands the bird to fly in and around your group. Your experience caps off with the opportunity to hold one of the birds for this unique photo op.

Time: 11:00 AM (approximately a two-hour experience); walk from hotel to check-in

Fly Fishing

Available on Friday, October 21 only

Experience the natural wonders of the Rockies in a pair of waders with a rod in hand through The Broadmoor's fly fishing excursions. Join the Broadmoor’s professional fly fishing guides for an exciting day trip on the water. From the wide open fields of the Spinney Mountain State Wildlife Area to the awe inspiring cliffs surrounding Cheeseman Canyon, they offer some of the best fishing access in the state. If you’re lucky, you can achieve the Colorado Grand Slam in one afternoon by catching a Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Cutthroat Trout, and Brook Trout all in the same day. The professional guides provide complete instruction and personalized attention tailored to your level of experience or request, along with practicing catch and release fishing.

Garden of the Gods e-Bike Tour

Available on Saturday, October 22 only

Experience the Garden of the Gods, one of the most unique and beautiful landscapes in the region, on two wheels! Your professional guide will lead you through this non-technical bike tour along paved park roads that offer spectacular views of incredible red-rock spires and unique sandstone formations. Please note, that while this tour is not technical, it does require some effort to climb rolling hills on paved bike lanes at an altitude of 6,300 feet over a three- to five-mile route, but your ebike has your back to assist! Note: guests must be at least 5'1" tall to ride.

Soaring Adventure

Available on Saturday, October 22 only

Experience the exhilaration of Seven Falls with a high-flying adventure that propels you across “The Grandest Mile of Scenery in Colorado”. Located in the secluded South Cheyenne Canyon, The Broadmoor Soaring Adventure consists of 5 zip lines that range in distance from 300 feet to 1,800 feet as well as moderate hiking, rope bridges, and a controlled 180-foot rappel that offers stunning views of the waterfalls and the canyon below.
 
A 15-minute ground school allows expert guides to fit each guest with harnesses, helmets and gloves as well as provide instructions on how to safely navigate the course. You'll also encounter Indiana Jones-style suspensions bridges, scenic hiking trails, and incredible views along the way. 
Note: guests must weigh between 90-250 pounds to ride and cannot be pregnant. Closed-toe shoes are required.
