On Common Ground

About AACP's 38th Annual Meeting in San Antonio, Texas:

This year the AACP has put together a Clinical Symposium devoted to enhancing your treatment outcomes and learning new skills. Whether you are new to the field or you have been doing it for some time, we have you covered. We will be bringing you speakers that will arm you with clinical skills and knowledge to put to work immediately. This is building off last year's program of what we are diagnosing and the origin of these problems. Now we will get into how to treat some of them and what tools we have to deploy. It is rare to have an annual symposium filled with hands-on opportunities and a mix of physicians, dentists, and researchers all in one place.

Specific areas of emphasis will include:

  • Understanding & new trends of platelet rich fibrin

  • Demonstation and evaluation of various medical laser technologies available for Sleep & Pain therapy

  • Surgical and non-surgical treatment options for tongue-ties and lip-ties

  • Sleep neurology and the role nutrient deficiency plays in sleep disorder

  • Outline an approach to obstructive sleep apnea and screening to impact the dental care of children

  • Postural and dento-craniofacial decompensation
