As we seek to build momentum and support for evidence-based trust in elections, new technologies are rapidly being developed to increase accessibility for remote voters and verify identities, with a goal of enabling end-to-end (E2E) verifiable voting systems in the future. Join MITRE on Thursday, September 15th as we explore the unfolding E2E verifiable voting technological ecosystem, the essential role of independent verification, and the future of evidence-based trust in elections.
From healthcare to national security, recent advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI) can improve how we live our lives, modernize government operations, and increase national security. But these same technologies can create unintended consequences for democratic processes, mission critical systems, and citizen privacy. As AI-powered innovations become more prevalent across high-stakes environments, addressing AI assurance topics such as trust, security, bias, and ethics has never been more important.

MITRE Labs inspires breakthroughs in applied science and advanced technology to transform the future of U.S. scientific and economic leadership. Our goal: Deliver disruptive innovation to support our mission of solving problems for a safer world.
MITRE’S Horizon Strategy: A Framework for Science and Technology Innovation | The current model for U.S. innovation has fallen short in the face of today’s technology competition challenges. The executive and legislative branches of the U.S. government have proposed bold new approaches to supporting innovation and U.S. competitive success in Science and Technology (S&T), but the challenge for America is how to shape such an ambitious new push.
Center for Strategic Competition | Today's competitive strategy challenges are more multi-faceted and complex than ever. They exist in many arenas of hard, “sharp,” and soft power, from military capacity, technological innovation, economic development, espionage, trade, and finance to cyber conflict, law enforcement, politics and culture, and diplomacy.
MITRE'S Center for Data-Driven Policy brings objective, evidence-based, nonpartisan insights to government policymaking. We provide tangible, measurable, and innovative ideas to inform public policy that is effective and equitable.
MITRE’s mission-driven teams are dedicated to solving problems for a safer world.
Through our public-private partnerships and federally funded R&D centers, we work across government and in partnership with industry to tackle challenges to the safety, stability, and well-being of our nation.
