MITRE Grand Challenges Power Hour: Modeling Equitable AI in Digital Health

4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Recent advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI) have demonstrated the power to improve and revolutionize Human Health and our understanding of Life Sciences. The power of some of the largest neural nets is truly staggering.  And yet, a lot of the potential impacts of AI have profound implications for human society and our ethical values.  Basic questions remain unanswered including: How can we build AI that serves all of us? What kind of guardrails and guidelines are necessary to ensure confidence and drive high-quality health care by promoting the adoption of credible and fair health AI systems? How much of this hype is just irrational exuberance?

Join MITRE on Thursday December 8th as we bring together experts across government, industry, and academia to highlight some of the important advances made in Health AI, including structural biological modeling, vision algorithms and discuss what consumers can expect in a future where humans and AI cooperate in an ethical framework for the future of Human Health.

As AI-powered innovations become more prevalent across high-stakes environments, addressing AI assurance topics such as trust, security, bias, and ethics has never been more important.
