This interactive virtual seminar series provides an opportunity for teams of 3–6 faculty and staff members to develop action plans to improve their general education assessment processes. Participants learn best practices for assessment of student learning in general education programs and work with teammates to critically review the structure, philosophy and perceptions of their institutions’ existing practices.
The series, consisting of four synchronous modules, will include presentations from experienced practitioners with corresponding activities and team conversations for action planning. Participants will also gain access to HLC’s online collaboration and project management tool, SparQ, to connect with facilitators and fellow assessment professionals and document a post-series action plan.
Who Should Attend?
All HLC member institutions are invited to participate. This is a team-based event. Institutions should plan to register 3–6 representatives, including faculty and staff members who work on general education assessment.
